The CMF by Nothing brand today presented the new CMF Phone 2 Pro smartphone and the CMF Buds 2, Buds 2 Plus and Buds 2a headphones.
CMF Phone 2 Pro
CMF Phone 2 Pro is one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest smartphone equipped with a camera with a telephoto lens. First, let me mention that the smartphone has a slim (7.8 mm thick) and lightweight (185 g) housing with IP54 tightness and a distinctive style. The back is decorated with aluminum camera frames and visible stainless steel screws. CMF Phone 2 Pro is available in four color variants: white, black, orange and light green. The black and light green versions are distinguished by a back made of a material imitating frosted glass, framed by a metal frame. The white model has a sandstone texture on the back panel, and the most daring option is orange, characterized by a metallic shine. CMF Phone 2 Pro supports modularity, thanks to compatibility with three new accessories that debut with the phone: a universal case, interchangeable lenses (Fisheye and Macro type), and a wallet that acts as a stand. The key improvement over the CMF Phone 1 is support for contactless payments, possible thanks to the built-in NFC module in the second-generation smartphone. The fisheye and macro lenses will cost you $35/€35. You can grab the universal cover for $25/€25 and the wallet/stand for $35/€35. You can bundle all three (cover, wallet/stand and one lens) for $45/€45. The accessories will only be sold through nothing.tech.

CMF Phone 2 Pro is powered by the upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor. This is an eight-core unit clocked at up to 2.5 GHz, manufactured using the TSMC 4 nm process. This translates into 10% faster processing and 5% better graphics than the CMF Phone 1 – while also being more energy efficient. Thanks to this, combined with a 5000 mAh battery (which lasts almost an hour longer than its predecessor), the smartphone can easily last up to two days on a single charge. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.77-inch AMOLED FHD+ display. This screen displays 1.07 billion shades, reaching a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits – 50% more than the previous model.

With a touch sampling rate of 1000 Hz (a 316% increase compared to the CMF Phone 1) and an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz, it is possible to switch smoothly between tasks and use comfortably. CMF Phone 2 Pro is equipped with a fairly rich set of cameras for this price segment. The main 50 MPx camera has the largest sensor in its class, capturing 64% more light than the CMF Phone 1, which translates into better photo quality. For long-distance shots, there is a telephoto lens with 20x digital zoom - a unique feature in this segment. Wide frames are provided by an 8 MPx camera, and on the front of the smartphone there is a 16 MPx selfie camera. The CMF Phone 2 Pro starts at $250/€220/19,000 INR for the 8/128GB model and you can have double the storage for $280/€250/21,000 INR. The 8/256GB variant will also be available in the US for $280 via the Beta Program. Pre-orders start today on the official site (nothing.tech), open sales are set for May 6 (Tuesday next week).
