Alcatel is back in the game and decided to remind us of itself with a new, budget model Alcatel 3 2025, five years after its predecessor.
Alcatel 3 2025 is unfortunately not a very exciting, budget design, somewhat referring to similar models from the TCL concern, which is now owned by the French brand. The smartphone received a 6.52-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 576x1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a brightness of up to 400 nits. The screen has a droplet notch for a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the main camera with an 8-megapixel matrix is placed on the back. The heart of the smartphone is the aging Unisoc SC9863A1 processor from 2018 (!), manufactured in the archaic 28 nm lithography. The processor has only 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, which fortunately can be expanded with a microSD card. The system is of course Android 15 Go, which does not give much hope for the smooth operation of the phone. Power is provided by a 5010 mAh battery with 10-watt charging, and the equipment is complemented by a minijack and a side fingerprint reader. The smartphone will be offered in Space Gray and Teal Blue. The price has not been announced yet, but it is certainly a smartphone from the lowest price range.
