Somewhat unexpectedly, and without any announcement, the new smartphone Honor 400 Smart 5G has appeared in Europe. It's an affordable device with a large battery.
Honor 400 Smart 5G has quietly appeared in the offer of the Spanish branch of Orange. The smartphone isn't exactly impressive, but it is affordable and has a large battery. It features a 6500 mAh battery with 35-watt charging. Despite this, the device maintains a manageable size – 166.89 x 76.8 x 8.39 mm and weighs 189 g. The rest of the specifications are typical budget-friendly. The new model features a 6.77-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 700 nits of brightness. Underneath the screen is a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, unfortunately supported by only 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The device also includes a 5-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel background blur. The operating system is Android 15 with Magic UI 9.0 and a promise of 5 years of security support. Unfortunately, this smartphone is unlikely to see Android 16, as it lacks RAM (in the current version). As a consolation, it boasts IP64 waterproofing. The Honor 400 Smart 5G is currently available in 48-month installments of 50 euro cents each, with no upfront fee. In other words, its total cost with a subscription will be just 24 euros. The non-subscription price is not yet known.
