The mid-range Redmi smartphones, already widely announced, have just arrived in stores. It's time to learn all the details.
Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ look very similar in official renders, although a closer look reveals a few differences – the plus model has a rounded screen instead of a flat display, and on the back, there are three cameras on an island next to the flash, while in the cheaper model, one of the elements present there could be considered decorative.
The two models also share the biggest change from their predecessor – both have 7000 mAh batteries, while the previous Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ had 5500 and 6200 mAh batteries, respectively. This time, the batteries of the two models differ only in charging power – the Note 15 Pro can be charged at a maximum power of 45W, and the Note 15 Pro+ at 90W. Both also offer 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Also new in this year's generation are the processors, although this is a subtle improvement. Redmi Note 15 Pro uses the Mediatek 7400 Ultra processor, an overclocked variant of the Dimensity 7300 from the previous model, while Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, providing 7% more performance than last year's Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. As usual, the operating system also makes a difference - in this case, it's HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
Although Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ have different screen shapes, their parameters in both cases are the same and raise no objections - a 6.83-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 px, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak point brightness of 3200 nits, 12-bit color depth and protective Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass. Protection is also provided by dust and waterproofing, confirmed by IP68 and IP69K certifications. The camera setup is essentially the same as last year – there's a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP selfie camera, and in the case of Redmi Note 15 Pro+, a 50MP portrait telephoto lens with a 60mm focal length, providing 2.5x optical zoom.
Both smartphones are available in black, white, sky blue, and purple colour variants, as well as three memory configurations, although the Plus model offers more RAM. The launch prices for each variant are as follows:
