ZTE, thanks to its sub-brand, has unveiled a very interesting smartphone in Japan. Nubia S2e is interesting because it's minimalist on the one hand, yet also includes a few more powerful features.
Nubia S2e is minimalist even in appearance. It has a very simple, devoid of any embellishments and a single camera. Equipped with a Unisoc T8100 processor and meager 4GB of RAM, it appears to be a budget-friendly device, but it isn't entirely so. It has a decent 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and its casing is not only IP68/69-rated, but even meets the MIL-STD-810H military durability standard. The smartphone isn't overly large (167 x 77 x 8.1 mm) or heavy (189 g), and it also has a minijack, NFC, eSIM, a microSD slot, and a fingerprint reader. Nubia S2e also has an additional, customizable button that can launch quick actions or a selected app, and is powered by a 5100 mAh battery. So, it's not exactly a budget-friendly phone, but it's certainly not a smartphone for users who demand more than the most basic functions. The latter is also confirmed by the cameras: the front has an 8-megapixel resolution, while the lone rear camera has a 50-megapixel resolution. We don't know the price yet, but it will definitely be priced at the lower end.
