Vivo today unveiled a pair of flagship smartphones in China: Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro. What do Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro offer and how much do they cost?
It may come as a surprise that this year's lineup lacks a compact model, the successor to the Vivo X200 Mini. This is because the entry-level Vivo X300 has taken over, adopting a somewhat compact form factor. This smartphone features a 6.31-inch 8T LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1216 x 2640 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader is located beneath the screen, and the smartphone is powered by a 6040 mAh battery with 90-watt wired charging and 40-watt induction. The heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, supported by LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1 memory. The main camera is a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size, optical stabilization lens and an f/1.68 aperture. There are two 50-megapixel cameras alongside it – a wide-angle Samsung JN1 (f/2.0) and a Sony LYT-602 with a telephoto lens (f/2.57). There's also a 50-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0), and stereo speakers complete the setup.

Vivo X300 Pro is now larger, with a 6.78-inch screen, but still featuring 8T LTPO technology, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels. The Pro model remains powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, supported by LPDDR5X Ultra memory (or Ultra Pro in the 16 GB version) and UFS 4.1 storage, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and stereo speakers. Charging power remains at 90W, but the battery itself has grown to 6510 mAh. The cameras, of course, are different. For selfies and wide-angle photos, the 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 cameras (f/2.0) were left - as in the base - but the main role was taken over by the 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 matrix with a size of 1/1.28 inches, with gimbal stabilization and an aperture of f/1.57. The 200-megapixel camera features a Samsung HPB 1/1.4" telephoto lens with an f/2.67 aperture, APO technology, which reduces aberrations at maximum zoom, and an 85mm focal length. Furthermore, the X300 series is equipped with Adaptive ZOOM Flash – an adaptive flash that automatically adjusts the intensity and range of lighting to the distance from the subject.
