Honor has unveiled its flagship smartphones Honor Magic8 and Magic8 Pro in China, along with the Honor MagicPad 3 Pro tablet and the Honor Watch 5 Pro smartwatch.
Honor's new flagships, of course, feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors, LTPO OLED displays, large batteries, and fast charging. They run MagicOS 10 with AI features and the company's Yoyo assistant. Both also feature an additional key that activates the AI, and with a long press, activates the user's selected function. They are IP68/69/69K waterproof. They also have powerful cameras—now let's get to the details.
Honor Magic8
The basic Honor Magic8 has a 6.58-inch screen with a resolution of 1256 x 2808 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 6000 nits of brightness. There's a cutout for a 50-megapixel selfie camera, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader below the screen. On the back are a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel camera with a 3x telephoto lens. The smartphone is powered by a 7000 mAh battery with 90-watt charging and 80-watt induction. There are four colours to choose from and the following memory kits:
- 12+256 GB - 4499 yuan, $630
- 12+512 GB - 4799 yuan, $670
- 16+512 GB - 4999 yuan, $700
- 16 GB + 1 TB - 5499 yuan, $770

Honor Magic8 Pro
The Honor Magic8 Pro will almost certainly be released in Europe and globally. Unfortunately, while it has a 7200 mAh battery in China, it will receive a smaller 6270 mAh battery outside of China. 100-watt charging and 80-watt induction will remain unchanged. The Pro has a larger, 6.71-inch screen—but with similar parameters to the base model. However, the screen has a larger notch, because in addition to the 50-megapixel selfie camera, it houses a ToF sensor for 3D facial recognition. The main camera is a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. OIS also includes a 200-megapixel camera with a periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture, 3.7x zoom, and a 1/1.4-inch sensor. There's also a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 122-degree field of view. Again, there are three casing colors and several memory kits to choose from:
- 12+256 GB - 5699 yuan, $800
- 12+512 GB - 5999 yuan, $840
- 16+512 GB - 6199 yuan, $870
- 16 GB + 1 TB - 6699 yuan, $940

Besides the smartphones, the Honor MagicPad 3 Pro tablet also debuted. It has, as the name suggests, a 13.3-inch screen with a resolution of 3200x2136 pixels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 12,450 mAh battery with 66-watt charging. The equipment also includes a 9-megapixel selfie camera, as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel macro lens. There are three memory kits to choose from:
- 12+256 GB - 3799 yuan, $535
- 12+512 GB - 4399 yuan, $620
- 16+512 GB - 4699 yuan, $660
