Realme presents the Realme GT8 and Realme GT8 Pro smartphones.

Realme GT8 and Realme GT8 Pro Debut in China

The interesting Realme GT8 and Realme GT8 Pro smartphones, developed in collaboration with the photography brand Ricoh, debuted in China today.

Both models have quite powerful specifications and large batteries, and the manufacturer strongly emphasizes that the Realme GT 8 series cameras were developed in collaboration with Ricoh. Although both models have a rather simple style, care has been taken to ensure they stand out. The Realme GT 8 Pro allows for interchangeable camera frames, allowing users to significantly personalize their smartphone's design. The smartphones are equipped with the same 6.78-inch displays with a resolution of 1440x3136 px, a 144 Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 4000 nits. Similarly, both models have the same battery capacity – 7000 mAh – but the smartphones differ in charging power. The Realme GT8 uses 100W of power, while the Realme GT8 Pro offers 120W of power and 50W of wireless charging. The smartphones have IP66/68/69 waterproof cases, NFC, ultrasonic fingerprint readers, and infrared emitters.

The Realme GT 8 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, while the Realme GT 8 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The base model has LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memory, while the Pro has LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1. The smartphones differ in their cameras, of course. The Realme GT 8 has a 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.56", f/1.8 with OIS) and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. Meanwhile, the Realme GT 8 Pro uses 50-megapixel main (1/1.56", f/1.8 with OIS) and wide-angle (1/2.88", f/2.0, 16mm) cameras, while the periscope telephoto camera is a 200-megapixel 1/1.56", f/2.6. Both models also have selfie cameras with an f/2.4 aperture: a 16-megapixel one at the base and a 32-megapixel one in the Pro. The cameras feature filters inspired by the legendary Ricoh GR: positive, negative, high-contrast black and white, standard, and monochrome.
