Motorola Edge 70 - leaks like a dream (updated)

Motorola has had exceptionally bad luck with Motorola Edge 70. Information about the new smartphone leaked long before its launch from several different sources (including a Polish store!), and its twin model, Moto X70 Air, had already appeared in China. Meanwhile... there's another leak – and official information.

This time, the manufacturer failed to keep anything a secret. First, Motorola itself revealed a range of information about the Edge 70 model on its website, which, in addition to hidden trailers, contained a number of notes revealing details of the phone. Then Motorola Edge 70 appeared prematurely in a Polish store, and the Chinese branch "destroyed" the mystery by presenting its twin model Motorola Moto X70 Air. Today's leak doesn't bring much new information, but you can see what renders will promote the new model. At noon, Motorola's Polish branch published the official data – apparently, they decided that keeping it a "secret" no longer made sense.

Motorola Edge 70 will cost between 800 and 900 euros. The smartphone will be slim, 6 mm thick, but it will still have a 4800 mAh battery that will charge at 68 W (and 15 W inductively). Motorola Edge 70 will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, supported by 8/12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB of uMCP flash memory (depending on the market). The equipment will also include a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and brightness up to 4500 nits, as well as three 50-megapixel cameras: a front-facing (f/2.0), a main camera with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture, and a wide-angle camera (f/2.0, 112 degrees with macro). The operating system will be Android 16 with a Motorola overlay, and the smartphone will also receive DualSIM with eSIM and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the housing will meet IP68/69 waterproofing certification and MIL-STD-810H durability requirements. The smartphone's dimensions are 159x74x5.99 mm, and it weighs 159 g. The smartphone is already on Motorola's official website. The mandatory EPREL label has also been leaked, showing that the phone is class A. It also has the highest durability rating, a guaranteed thousand-cycle battery, and a high repairability rating of class B. Motorola Edge 70 smartphone will be released on November 5th.
