Motorola Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) debut in the US

Motorola is firing off new products like crazy. After the presentation of Motorola Edge 70 and the announcements of Moto G57 and Moto G57 Power, the new models Motorola Moto G (2026) and Motorola Moto G Play (2026) are coming.

Motorola Moto G (2026) and Motorola Moto G Play (2026) are debuting in North America, the US, and Canada. While they resemble models familiar to us, they have individual specifications, apparently tailored to the local market. The Motorola Moto G (2026) and Moto G Play (2026) are almost identical. They have MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processors and a modest 4 GB of RAM. They differ in internal memory – the Moto G (2026) has 128 GB, while the Moto G Play (2026) has 64 GB. Both support microSD cards and virtual RAM. The colors are also different – the main model comes in two colors, while the Play comes in just one. The rest of the story is similar.

The smartphones have 5200 mAh batteries with 30-watt charging in the Moto G (2026) and 18-watt in the Moto G Play (2026), as well as 6.7-inch LCD screens with HD+ resolution at up to 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits brightness, and Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphones are IP52-rated and run Android 16. However, the cameras are different. The Moto G (2026) has a 32-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, as well as a 2-megapixel macro camera. The Moto G Play (2026) has an 8-megapixel f/2.0 front camera and a 32-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera. The Moto G (2026) is priced at $200, while the Moto G Play (2026) is priced at $170.
