Looking at Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro mini, you can see inspiration from iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone Air, but like Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Vivo's new smartphones are inspired by originality.
The iPhone Air presented this fall was not successful on the market, and the Vivo brand decided not to repeat its mistakes - despite superficial similarity, Vivo S50 Pro mini has a standard thickness of 8.10 mm and weighs 192 grams, and it uses the extra space thus obtained effectively - its battery has a capacity of 6500 mAh, with the possibility of fast wired charging with a power of 90 W and inductive charging with a power of 40 W, and on the elongated rear island there is not one, but three cameras. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor, accompanied by an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 50MP telephoto lens offering 3x lossless zoom, and a 50MP front-facing selfie camera.
The device is powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, along with up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, and the Android 16 operating system with OriginOS 16. Its 6.31-inch AMOLED LTPO display has a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels and a variable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The Vivo S50 Pro Mini also offers certified water resistance. IP68 and IP69 ratings, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, an X-axis vibration motor, and an infrared transmitter. Black, white, and light purple color options are available.

The Vivo S50 is a more modest mid-range model that also looks good. Its 6.59-inch AMOLED display reaches a peak brightness of 5000 nits. It's powered by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, but its battery and camera setup are very similar to the more expensive Pro Mini model. The color options for the base Vivo S50 are also similar, although in addition to the three colors of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini, a blue variant is also available.
