The popular Indian brand Lava has unveiled its new smartphone, the Lava Blaze Duo 3. With this model, the company returns to the concept of a secondary display on the back of the device.
In fact, this small, secondary screen alone is enough to attract attention. This solution was once popularized by the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, but Lava also offered the Blaze Duo 5G and Agni 3 models with such displays. The screen in question is a 1.6-inch AMOLED, with a resolution of 320x360 px and 600 nits brightness, and fits next to the cameras, in a shared frame. The screen allows you to read notifications, control music and calls, and also makes it easier to frame selfies with the main camera. This camera is 50-megapixel (Sony IMX752) and has an additional QVGA portrait module. The front-facing 8MP camera takes classic selfies.

The front camera lurks in the punch-hole of a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits of brightness. A fingerprint reader is hidden beneath the screen. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor, supported by 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Android 15 is running the operating system, which will eventually be replaced by Android 16, and security patches will be provided for only two years. The Lava Blaze Duo 3 smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that charges at 33W, and its 7.5mm thick body is IP64-rated. The smartphone is available in two colors and costs 17,000 rupees, or $190.
