As announced, the striking Realme Neo 8 has debuted in China. What does this smartphone offer, besides the lights on the back?
Realme Neo 8 debuts in three colors (Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White), with a striking pattern on the rear panel, which features an additional LED light that can act as a notification LED. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.78-inch Samsung M14 display with a resolution of 2772x1272 pixels, an image refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, and a typical brightness of 1000 nits and a peak brightness of 6500 nits. Underneath the Crystal Armor-protected screen, there's an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and touch input is sampled at 3800 Hz. The heart of the Realme Neo8 is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, supported by LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1 memory. The smartphone is powered by an 8000 mAh battery.

In the camera department, we have a 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4), a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (f/1.8), a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with f/2.8 and a 3.5x zoom (digitally up to 120x), and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2, 112 degrees). The operating system runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0, which is expected to receive three updates and then four years of security patch support. Additionally, this smartphone allows you to use the Steam platform and play selected games like on a PC. Of course, there are also AI features, including the ability to run up to 12 apps in floating windows. The smartphone has X-axis vibration, stereo speakers, an omnidirectional NFC antenna, and an infrared transmitter. Realme Neo 8 is 8.3 mm thick and is waterproof and dustproof with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.
