Apple has unveiled a new AirTag. This new edition of the miniature tracker is better than the previous one – but how?

Let's start by noting that the new AirTag looks the same as the previous one and has identical dimensions, allowing it to use the same tags and mounts as the previous model. The new model is only slightly heavier, but it still runs on a replaceable CR2032 button cell battery and remains IP67 waterproof. However, the AirTag has gained a speaker that's 50% more powerful, making locating a lost item easier. Furthermore, it features a new UWB chip, which provides higher location accuracy and operates at a 50% longer range, allowing you to find lost items from further away. A "Perfect Find" feature has also been added, compatible with the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, and their successors.
