Dreame smartphones unveiled!

It's been a while since I've been to such a strange event. Dreame, previously known for producing reasonably priced vacuum cleaners and small household appliances, has entered new market segments. In addition to new devices from established categories, the company introduced televisions and large household appliances to the Polish market, and... announced smartphones. Let's take a look at them.

At this epicenter of strangeness, we saw three models... Although, in reality, there are more. The flagship smartphone, the Dreame RS1, comes in a basic, black version, but also has a gold variant and even a faux leather one – in various colors. The models with modified, custom casings have been dubbed Aurora – although it hasn't been clarified whether this is a separate series. The Dreame RS1 has a bezel-less, 6.85-inch display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and an under-screen selfie camera. Inside, it's powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a 7200 mAh battery with 90-watt charging and 80-watt induction. The casing is IP68/69 waterproof. The smartphone also has two 50-megapixel rear cameras (main and wide-angle), as well as a 64-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens. If these specifications seem familiar, you're right. This is a rebadged Nubia Z80 Ultra – the manufacturer didn't even bother to give the smartphone a proper name in the settings menu or benchmarks.

The next thing is no less strange, as we have two—arguably more original—designs, which were branded Dreame at the exhibition, but presented as Kome in the slides. The Dreame logo is visible on the cases—one resembling a Samsung, the other an iPhone—and I'll stick with that for now. The Dreame E1 will likely be the cheapest smartphone in the lineup. It has a MediaTek Dimensity series processor, an AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 5000 mAh battery with 33-watt charging. This model has a 108-megapixel rear camera and a 50-megapixel front camera, and its body is 7.85 mm thick.

The Dreame Air1 is a model that falls somewhere in between. It also features MediaTek technology, and is distinguished by its slim 5.9 mm thickness and 172 g weight. This model also features a 108-megapixel camera on the rear, and a 32-megapixel camera on the front. The battery remains 5000 mAh, but it supports 45-watt charging. No further details about the devices were released, nor was there any indication of when they would be available for sale—or if at all. Brand representatives couldn't clarify whether the models shown represent the entire Dreame smartphone lineup, citing "secret"... However, the reason for their presentation, so we can assume they will appear in stores soon, perhaps even at attractive prices. We'll likely learn more at MWC, where these models will likely have their European launch.
