Infinix is preparing a smartphone offensive. In addition to the Note 60 series models, the Infinix GT 50 Pro will also be available. It looks... gaming!
The Infinix GT 50 Pro should launch around the same time as the Note 60 series and the new budget models, but it has a unique place in the lineup. It's intended to be a model aimed at mobile gaming enthusiasts. As such, it will feature a rather aggressive design, with a carbon fiber mesh upper and colorful accents on the back, along with the inevitable LED backlighting. As a gaming model, it should also have strong specifications – but in this case, we're talking about a manufacturer targeting the lower end of the market, so the smartphone's interior will be closer to a powerful, mid-range model.
As reported by Passionategeekz, this model will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, surrounded by a narrow bezel. The Infinix GT 50 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, accompanied by at least 12GB of 256GB of memory. This model has already passed the Geekbench benchmark test, scoring 1612 points in the single-core test and 6686 in the multi-threaded test.
Although the bezel shown in the renders doesn't indicate it, this model is said to have three rear cameras. The main camera will be 50-megapixel, with 0.8µm pixels and optical image stabilization. Next to it, we'll see two 8-megapixel cameras (likely a wide-angle and a telephoto one) – although this particular part of the leak raises my doubts. I'm more likely hoping for just the wide-angle camera. The front will house a 13-megapixel selfie camera. The power supply is not entirely certain. There's talk of a single 6500mAh battery or a dual-cell setup for a total of 6150mAh. Perhaps this will depend on the market...? In any case, charging will remain unchanged at 45W, along with 30W induction. There will also be reverse charging – 10W via cable or 5W wirelessly. The gaming smartphone should also have bypass power – but the leaks don't specify this yet.
