On the eve of the MWC trade show in Barcelona, Honor once again unveiled its interesting Robot Phone concept, a humanoid robot, and, above all, the new foldable smartphone, Honor Magic V6.

Honor Magic V6

Honor Magic V6. is impressive above all with its battery. The silicon-carbon battery has a large capacity for a foldable phone, 6660 mAh, and a record-breaking density of 921 Wh/L, which is more than Tesla's batteries. The version for the Chinese market has an even larger battery. The smartphone is also record-breakingly thin and light – folded, it's 8.75 mm thick and weighs 219 g – less than the iPhone 17 Pro Max – with the same thickness. Despite the foldable design, IP68/69 water resistance has been maintained, and the screens have high brightness – the external one up to 6,000 nits, and the internal one up to 5,000 nits. Furthermore, both screens support a stylus, which unfortunately must be purchased and carried separately.

Honor Magic V6. is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, supported by LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1 memory, with a dedicated cooling system and Android 16 with a Magic OS overlay. The interface also includes the typical AI functions from Gemini, and of course, there's also the option of easy, wireless connection to a computer. Besides file transfer, the Magic V6 can also become a secondary computer screen. Furthermore, wireless compatibility with Apple devices is possible, with transfer rates up to 60 MB/s.

Honor Magic V6 also stands out for its cameras. It has a 200-megapixel main camera, as well as a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with a 1/2-inch sensor and advanced image stabilization. Honor Magic V6 is available in four colours: white, black, gold, and the most striking, red. Pricing has not yet been announced.

Honor MagicPad 4

In addition, Honor also announced a new tablet. Honor MagicPad 4 features a 12.3-inch 3K OLED screen with a narrow bezel (3.9 mm), a 165 Hz refresh rate, and up to 2400 nits of brightness. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, powered by a 10100 mAh battery. The tablet has eight speakers and two cameras (13 and 9 MP), and its body is only 4.8 mm thick. An optional keyboard case is also available for the new Magic Pad, using the connecting pins on the back of the tablet. The 12+256GB variant is priced at €699, while the 16+512GB variant is priced at €799.

Honor Robot Phone

During the presentation, an interesting feature was also revealed – more of a concept, a demonstration of the company's capabilities than a commercial product. The Robot Phone is a new type of smartphone that combines interaction with AI with movement and cinematic image recording capabilities. Instead of responding solely through the screen and voice commands, smartphone AI gains a more physical, expressive dimension through movement and camera movement. This goes beyond the capabilities of a traditional smartphone – the device can constantly change perspective and better adapt to the situation. Using multimodal perception, it recognizes sounds, tracks movement, and maintains a constant visual orientation, resulting in a more natural and intuitive interaction model. The Robot Phone also introduces interaction with AI designed to be more "human" and expressive. The device supports video calls by following the user – thanks to precise movement control. It also responds with "body language," including: It can even dance to the beat of music, bringing a more "live" experience to using a smartphone. Putting the "robot" mechanics into a smartphone required redesigning space, strength, and weight on a micro scale. Honor utilized high-performance materials and experience in designing durable foldable structures in the Robot Phone. This allowed the development of a proprietary micro-motor combining extreme compactness with high durability. After significantly reducing the motor's size, the phone's housing accommodates an ultra-compact 4DoF gimbal, providing the hardware foundation for movement. This mechanical architecture supports a three-axis gimbal stabilization system, ensuring smooth and precise movement even in dynamic conditions. Super Steady Video mode improves stability during intense movement, and AI Object Tracking enables intelligent real-time object tracking. AI SpinShot expands creative possibilities by offering intelligent 90° and 180° rotation, making it easier to achieve smooth, cinematic transitions – even when recording with one hand. The Robot Phone is powered by a 200 MP sensor and a stabilized gimbal system. Stabilization, intelligent tracking, and cinematic camera movement are designed to bridge the gap between smartphone video and more professional-looking footage.
