As previously announced, the budget Realme C83 5G is making its debut in India. Budget doesn't quite mean "underpowered."
The Realme C83 5G impresses with its 7000 mAh battery, which unfortunately charges at a budget-friendly 15W. However, it also has a solid MIL-STD 810H-certified casing with IP64 waterproofing, a splash-proof screen, and a speaker purging function. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, running Android 16 with Realme UI 7, also looks good, but it's accompanied by modest 4+64 or 6+128 GB of memory (LPDDR4X and eMMC 5.1). The smartphone's display is a bit odd. On the one hand, the LCD panel is large, 6.8 inches, but only offers HD+ resolution. On the other hand, the screen boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate and a brightness of up to 900 nits. The cameras, on the other hand, are completely budget-friendly: 5 megapixels on the front and 13 megapixels on the back (both with an f/2.2 aperture). There's also a minijack and Dual SIM, and the smartphone measures 166.3 x 78.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs 212 g. The official price hasn't been announced yet, but leaks have suggested it will start at 13,500 rupees, or about $148.
