Oppo today unveiled its latest foldable smartphone. The Oppo Find N6 is expected to stand out with its slim design, a large battery, and, above all, the lack of a recess in the foldable display.

The Oppo Find N6's external screen measures 6.62 inches and has a 1.5K resolution, with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The Q10 8T LTPO panel is supplied by BOE, and comes with Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and HDR10+ certifications. The screen has a minimum brightness of 1 nit, an outdoor brightness of 1800 nits, and a maximum brightness of 3600 nits, and also features 2160 Hz PWM dimming. The Samsung E7's internal, foldable screen with a slight fold is 8.12-inch, with a 2K resolution, a 1-120 Hz refresh rate, 2160 Hz PWM dimming, and brightness ranging from 1 to 1800 nits, with a peak brightness of 2500 nits. Both displays can work with the AI Pen. Of course, the manufacturer's biggest boast is the reduction of screen creasing—by a whopping 75%, to 0.5 mm. If they actually achieved this, it's impressive. The screen is designed to withstand at least 600,000 full-display rotations without damage.

Three cameras are located on the back of the phone. The main camera, the Samsung HP5, has a 200-megapixel sensor with a 21mm focal length and f/1.8 aperture, while the wide-angle camera is the 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 with a 15mm focal length and f/2.0 aperture, as well as autofocus and macro capabilities. Another 50-megapixel JN5 camera, this time with a 3x telephoto lens, a 70mm focal length and f/2.7 aperture, naturally features optical image stabilization, just like the main camera. There are also, of course, two 20-megapixel selfie cameras (1/3.42" Isocell KD1, 21 mm, f/2.4) - in the hole of each screen. There's also a multispectral colour sensor on board, improving color reproduction.

The heart of the Oppo Find N6 smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1 memory. The Oppo Find N6 is powered by a 6000 mAh battery with 80-watt charging and 50-watt induction. The smartphone also has stereo speakers, an infrared transmitter, satellite connectivity, and a housing with relatively high IP56/IP58/IP59 ratings for a foldable device. Android 16 with ColorOS 16 overlay provides the system with a promise of five updates and 6 years of support. The smartphone also features a programmable Snap Key. When folded, the housing is 8.93 mm thick, and when unfolded, it's 4.21 mm thick, while the smartphone weighs only 225 g. The following memory variants are available for sale in China:

  • 12 + 256 GB - 9999 yuan, $1440
  • 16 + 512 GB - 10999 yuan, $1585
  • 16 GB + 1 TB - 11999 yuan, $1,725
