A new smartphone, straddling the budget and mid-range segments, has debuted in India. What does the Oppo K14 5G offer?
Oppo K14 doesn't offer overly sophisticated specifications, but it does have a few advantages. One of them is undoubtedly the 7000 mAh battery, which also features 45-watt charging—perhaps not the fastest, but quite good among budget phones. The 6.75-inch LCD screen, which operates in HD+ resolution, is significantly less impressive, albeit with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a high brightness of 1125 nits for this type of display. The smartphone's heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memory, but unfortunately, it runs the relatively new Android 15 operating system with the ColorOS 15 interface. No information about update plans was provided...
The Oppo K14 5G's cameras are also modest. While the main sensor is a 50-megapixel sensor, the secondary camera is only a 2-megapixel lens for portraits, and the selfie camera is a mere 8-megapixel. This smartphone is also worth noting for its high IP69 waterproofing rating, which is a good value for the budget segment. There are three colors to choose from – Icy Blue, Prism White, and Prism Violet – and the following memory options:
- 4+64GB – 13,000 rupees, $145 USD
- 4+128GB – 15,000 rupees, $165 USD
- 6+128GB – 17,000 rupees, $185 USD
