Launch of the Oppo K15 Pro and K15 Pro+ smartphones with IPX9 waterproofing

Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+ smartphones were unveiled in China today. These models have a slightly gaming-inspired design, LED backlighting, and cooling fans.

While both models are equipped with CPU cooling fans, they are still highly waterproof, meeting an IPX9 rating. Oppo K15 Pro features a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Super processor, LPDDR5X and UFS 3.1 memory, and a 7500 mAh battery with 80-watt charging. The smartphone also features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 2760x1256 px resolution, which incorporates a punch-hole for a 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4). The rear features a "classic" setup: a 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.8) with optical image stabilization, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2, 116 degrees). This model is available in four colour variants: Cyber Wings, Golden Legend, Origin Gray, and Photodust. There are two memory options to choose from: 12+256GB and 12+512GB, priced at 3199 and 3499 yuan, or $465-$510, respectively.

Oppo K15 Pro+ is larger, with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a resolution of 2772x1272 px. It also has a powerful 8000 mAh battery with 100-watt charging, and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, supported by LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1 memory. The camera setup is identical to that of the Oppo K15 Pro, but there are fewer colour options to choose from: Cyber Wings, Origin Gray, and Photodust. This model is also available with 12+256 and 12+512 GB of storage, priced at 3699 and 4199 yuan, respectively, which translates to $540-$610.
