As previously announced, the Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition debuted in India today. What does it offer?
The Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition, also known as Redmi Note 15 SE, has a slim, 7.35-millimeter-thick body available in three colours, including an attractive red. The case is MIL-STD-810H certified for drops from a height of 1.7 meters and has an IP66 rating. The front is occupied by a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with up to 3200 nits of brightness, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, and 3840 Hz PWM dimming. Underneath the screen is a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memory, and powered by a 5520 mAh battery that charges at 45W.

The main camera is a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 400 sensor with a 1/2.88" size and 1.22-micron pixels, with an f/1.8 aperture. Next to it is a 2-megapixel portrait sensor, while a 20-megapixel 1/4" sensor with an f/2.2 aperture takes selfies. The smartphone also offers stereo speakers and microSD card support, alternating with DualSIM. The operating system is Android 15 with HyperOS 2. Four updates and 6 years of security support are planned. Three memory versions are available in India:
