Honor is keeping busy and unveiling another smartphone – Honor X70 New in a refreshed edition. And to top it all off, it has a new smartwatch, the Honor Watch X5i.
Honor X70 Refresh Edition is essentially the same in terms of technology as the already familiar Honor X70. The only changes include a new color and a fresher operating system – Android 16 with MagicOS 10. The rest is the same as before – a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, and an 8300mAh battery with 80W charging. It also includes a 50-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K waterproofing. The refreshed model is slightly more expensive than the base model – 1,699 yuan ($250) for the 8+128GB version and 2,399 yuan ($350) for the 12+512GB version.
In addition to the refreshed smartphone, the Honor Watch X5i also debuted, resembling the Apple Watch in appearance. This watch features a 1.97-inch rectangular AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390x450 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The metal casing offers basic 1 ATM water resistance, and the watch weighs 41 g. The 420 mAh battery is said to provide up to 6 days of battery life in Always-on display mode or up to 21 days in power-saving mode. The watch tracks over 100 sports activities and sleep, measures weight, blood oxygen saturation, and stress, and connects to smartphones via Bluetooth 5.4. It's compatible with Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS, but runs proprietary firmware. It's available in two colors and costs 219 yuan, or $35.
