The "numerical" Realme 16 smartphone family has just expanded with the Realme 16T. The smartphone deserves praise for its screen refresh rate and battery life.
One of the biggest—and I mean literally—advantages of Realme 16T is its battery, boasting a capacity of 8000 mAh and charging at 45W. This battery will give the smartphone 3 days of operation, will also allow you to charge other devices at 15W, and its durability is estimated at 7 years. The battery also allows for bypass power supply—that is, direct power supply, bypassing battery charging. Another advantage of the new Realme could be its display, boasting an image refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. If only for one detail... The screen is 6.8 inches diagonally, with decent brightness up to 1200 nits, but its resolution is a paltry 1570 x 720 pixels, i.e., HD+. This could have been better. The processor could also have been better – we have the well-known and popular MediaTek Dimensity 6300, supported by LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage, but, as a consolation, it's expandable with a microSD card.

The 16-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4) is also quite average, but the back looks better, featuring a more capable 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 camera (f/1.8), supported by a portrait lens. The camera is enhanced not only with advanced portrait filters but also with LumaColor IMAGE technology, known from more expensive models. The smartphone is available in three colors, and the body is MIL-STD-810H certified for durability and IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K, and IP69 Pro waterproofing. In terms of styling, the Realme 16T combines the Realme 16 Pro 5G with the Realme 16. The Realme 16T inherits the flat sides and square camera island with distinctively arranged elements from the first model, while the second model adds a mirror next to the rear camera. This is intended to make framing selfies with the rear camera easier. Three memory versions are available in India:
- 6+128GB - 30,000 rupees, $315
- 8+128GB - 32,000 rupees, $335
- 8+256GB - 35,000 rupees Rupees, USD 370.
Along with the new smartphone, the Realme Watch S5 was also unveiled. The watch is available in two colour variants and costs 8,000 rupees, or USD 85, or PLN 310. The Realme Watch S5 has a round, 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a thousand-nit brightness and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The device weighs less than 50 g and features GPS, a pulse oximeter, sleep and menstrual cycle monitoring, as well as stress and ambient noise monitoring. The watch records over 110 sports activities and also allows for phone calls via Bluetooth and a built-in microphone and speaker. The watch is equipped with an Always-On Display and a 460 mAh battery, which is expected to last for 16-20 days in power-saving mode. The battery charges in 2.5 hours. The case is water-resistant to 5 ATM.
