The attractive mid-range Vivo X300 E has debuted in China. It could shake up its segment, but unfortunately, only in China for now.
Vivo X300 E doesn't shine in the styling department. It has a rather simple, flat-sided design and a rather clichéd iPhone-style photo frame. One of the colors, orange, also features the same style – but there are two more classic options to choose from, and the case boasts an IP69 rating. The smartphone features a 6.59-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 5000 nits of brightness. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader is located beneath the screen. The smartphone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, supported by LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1 memory, and powered by Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 interface.

Power is provided by a 7200 mAh battery with 90-watt charging. The camera setup is quite extensive. While the 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2) may seem rather modest, there are still 50-megapixel cameras: from the selfie camera (f/2.0), through the main camera (f/1.88), to the periscope telephoto lens (f/2.65). The smartphone also has an infrared transmitter and stereo speakers. Currently, the smartphone is offered in two memory variants: 12+256 GB and 12+512 GB, priced at 4,799 and 5,299 yuan. Converted, the prices are $710 and $785.
