HMD Asha 305 Specs Revealed: Pulse OS and Basic LTE Features

HMD Asha 305 debuts as another non-smartphone

HMD consistently promotes anti-smartphones - a bridge between classic, simple phones and smartphones. We recently learned that HMD will revive another famous Nokia - HMD Asha 305. We already know what it offers!

It was clear from the outset that the HMD Asha 305 wouldn't be a smartphone in the truest sense of the word. It was intended to be a device offering a semblance of smartphone features, but with a simple, basic (and affordable!) configuration. Today, thanks to a leak revealing the smartphone's packaging and its description, we now know more details about the upcoming device. So what does the Asha 305 offer?

First and foremost, it's the Pulse OS operating system, based on Android AOSP. The system supports over a hundred popular apps, including Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, as well as the Lite versions of WhatsApp, as well as YouTube, Spotify, and Netflix. The phone also offers access to Teams and Gemini, so those using basic apps shouldn't have any complaints. The phone's heart is a Unisoc T137 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory. It's also reported that the phone has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854x480 pixels and is powered by an easily removable 2500 mAh battery with a 5-watt charging time. This non-smartphone also features two 2-megapixel cameras – a selfie camera and a rear camera – and a minijack. The device also features LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity with a router function, as well as GPS and Bluetooth 4.2. Dimensions are 147 x 71.5 x 10.2 mm. For now, this model has been released in the Philippines, where it costs the equivalent of $65.
