The mid-range OnePlus N6 smartphone has just been joined by the more modest OnePlus N6x, offering a large battery and durability at a budget price.
Like the OnePlus N6, the new OnePlus N6x is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor – a relatively modest one, but one that supports 5G connectivity. The processor is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded with a microSD card. The OnePlus N6x also boasts a 5300 mm² vapor chamber, drop resistance compliant with the MIL-STD-810H military standard, complete dustproofing, and partial IP64 waterproofing. Its 7000 mAh battery, charging at 15W and supporting reverse charging at 5W, is also good, though less powerful than the OnePlus N6.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus N6x also has a few weaknesses. Like the more expensive model, its display is a 6.8-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1570, making up for the low resolution with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. Its camera setup is also decidedly modest – a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front-facing selfie camera. There are Icy Blue and Burgundy Red variants to choose from, and it's priced in India at 21,000 rupees (around $220, €191) for the 128GB version or 19,000 rupees ($200, €172) for the 64GB version. At this price, the OnePlus N6x faces some serious competition.
