Formerly known as Unihertz , the 8849 brand is known for its unusual smartphones. They've just released another amazing model - the 8849 Tank 5 Pro.
The 8849 Tank 5 Pro has pretty good specifications for a "tank phone," but what's most impressive is its additional features. It has a built-in DLP projector that displays images in 2K resolution and up to 220 lumens of brightness, along with automatic focus and geometry correction based on a ToF sensor. It also has a large, LED camping lamp and... a thermal imaging camera. The FLIR Lepton 3.1R thermal imaging camera produces an image with a resolution of 160x120 pixels and a 96-degree field of view – making the 8849 Tank 5 Pro likely the world's first smartphone with both thermal imaging and a projector. Furthermore, this model offers a very large battery – with a capacity of 17,600 mAh, charging at 120 W.

As I mentioned, the rest of the specifications are also impressive. The smartphone has a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a 3.2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 3000 nits of brightness, as well as solid 1.7W stereo speakers. It also has a minijack, NFC, and an eSIM, and the heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e processor, supported by 18GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal memory with space for a microSD card. The 8849 Tank 5 Pro also has a 32-megapixel selfie camera, and on the back, in addition to the thermal imaging camera, it has three 50-megapixel sensors. In addition to the main camera, there's also an infrared night vision camera that works in the dark at a distance of up to 15 meters, as well as a telephoto camera. All of this is housed in a substantial body – measuring 177.1 x 87 x 33.8 mm – and weighing just 715 g. The device costs €1,055.
