The budget smartphone Tecno Spark Go 3, unveiled in India earlier this year, will be joined in a few days by a Pro variant. What will set it apart?
The promotional page on the Amazon store announces that the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro will go on sale on September 4th, revealing its appearance and some of its specifications. The new model is similar in style to its predecessor, but will be available in two new color variants, including a cherry red similar to the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro. The teaser doesn't reveal all the new phone's specifications, but it reveals enough to compare it to the Tecno Spark Go 3. The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro prioritizes reliability above all else – compared to its predecessor, it boasts a significantly higher level of waterproofing, confirmed by an IP69 certificate, making it the most waterproof in its price range. It's also drop-resistant from a height of 1.5 meters, confirmed by an SGS certificate, and features AI-assisted noise reduction for phone calls. The manufacturer also promises 12 GB of RAM, but don't delude yourself – it's actually 4 GB of real RAM supported by 12 GB of virtual RAM.
Another advantage of the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is the inclusion of DTS stereo speakers, which were missing in the base model, as well as a slightly larger 5200 mAh battery. The 15W charging power remains unchanged, and the slightly larger 6.78-inch LCD display once again features HD+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro will be available in the 4+64 GB variant for 16,000 rupees (approximately $168, €144), while the slightly more equipped 4+128 GB variant will cost 17,000 rupees ($179, €153).
