The Honor 600 smartphone series has just expanded with the Honor 600S. Although the name doesn't suggest it, it's a fairly budget model.
Honor 600S features a 6.87-inch TFT display with, unfortunately, only HD+ resolution, but with a 120 Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and a high maximum brightness of 1020 nits for an LCD. Under the hood, we find a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor with a decent 6+128GB of memory, virtual RAM, and Android 16 with MagicOS 10. The 8100mAh battery looks great, charges at 45W, and is expected to retain 80% of its capacity for at least 5 years. The IP68, IP69, and IP69K water resistance ratings, as well as resistance to drops from a height of 2.5 meters, are equally impressive. The cameras are typical for the budget segment: a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel f/1.8 rear camera. Both only record in Full HD. The smartphone also features stereo speakers, NFC, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, while the dimensions are 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3 mm. There are three body colors to choose from – Desert Gold, Misty Purple, and Velvet Black – and the device weighs 216.5 g. The smartphone costs the equivalent of $255 in Hong Kong, where it debuted.
