At the IFA 2026 technology trade show, TCL unveiled a new range of devices focusing heavily on advanced eye protection and functionality. The manufacturer is bringing NxtPaper technology to AMOLED panels and introducing unique accessories for younger users.
Until now, NxtPaper series devices—designed to mimic the texture of paper and protect the eyes—relied on LCD screens. The flagship TCL P80 Ultra and the more affordable TCL P80 Pro take this technology to a whole new level by utilizing 6.83-inch AMOLED displays with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. These new screens feature a peak brightness of 3200 nits and innovations designed to enhance user comfort, such as:
- Circular polarization: mimics natural light and eliminates screen visibility issues when wearing polarized glasses.
- Homogenizing film: blends red, green, and blue colors to produce natural white light without visible subpixels.
- Blue light reduction: harmful blue light emissions have been reduced to just 2.9%.

The TCL P80 Ultra smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 7400 Elite processor and features a 5800 mAh battery; its rear panel houses, among other components, a 50 MP main camera with OIS and a 50 MP 3x periscope lens.

The P80 Pro version differs only in the absence of a periscope lens. Both models feature a physical slider that activates Max Ink mode, which silences unnecessary notifications and allows for up to 7 days of e-book reading on a single charge.

For those seeking standard solutions, the entry-level TCL P80 model has been introduced, featuring a classic AMOLED screen without NxtPaper technology.

TCL also unveiled two devices for fans of larger screens, based on enhanced NxtPaper LCD panels:
- TCL Tab A1 NxtPaper: a handy, lightweight (426 g) 11-inch tablet with 2.1K resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Helio G100 chipset and an 8000 mAh battery.
- TCL Tab A1 Plus NxtPaper: a larger, 12.2-inch model (2400 x 1600 px, 120 Hz) powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, featuring a 10,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

A highly unique new product is the TCL Kids Watch K5 smartwatch for children, featuring 4G connectivity and a battery life of up to 2.2 days. To ensure the device remains useful even when the child is at home, the manufacturer has included a motorized docking station. Once the watch is placed inside, the entire unit transforms into an interactive desktop robot capable of swiveling from side to side.
