A new 12-inch Acer tablet has just appeared in a popular Chinese online store at a particularly low price. What does it have to offer?
The Acer A512 made its debut on JD.com without much fanfare, revealing its design, specifications, and price. It features an 11.97-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate. By today's standards, this is a rather low refresh rate—even for a budget Android device—though it should help extend the battery life of the 8,000 mAh battery.
The Acer A512 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Photography duties are handled by a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera, while the operating system is Android 15. The Acer A512 is priced at 999 yuan (approximately €128 or $150). Despite its low price, it may struggle to compete with other budget tablets, such as the globally available Redmi Pad 2.
