The wait is over: the foldable iPhone has arrived alongside the iPhone 18 Pro pair

Apple today unveiled the highly anticipated foldable iPhone Duo, as well as two classic smartphones: Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max.

iPhone Duo

Naturally, the foldable iPhone Duo—previously known as the iPhone Ultra—generated the most excitement. This smartphone, which sparked a trend for "wide" foldables even before its official debut, arrives with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a compact 5.4-inch external LTPO OLED display. The screen features a punch-hole for a single selfie camera; notably, Apple has returned to a classic Touch ID fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button, as this solution simply works better for a foldable device. The phone features an aluminum-titanium chassis, measuring 4.5 mm thick when unfolded and 9–9.5 mm when folded. The casing boasts an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Available in white or navy blue, the device sports two 48-megapixel cameras on the back: a main lens and a wide-angle lens. The internal display also features a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 7.6-inch diagonal, with a crease that is reportedly almost invisible. The screen utilizes Samsung M16 luminescent material and houses an under-display (!) selfie camera in the corner, while also offering support for the Apple Pencil. At the heart of the smartphone lies the Apple A20 Pro processor, supported (presumably) by 12 GB of RAM. While Apple does not disclose battery capacity in its standard specifications, it is estimated to be 5,500 mAh. It is worth noting that this model supports only eSIMs. The pricing is as follows:

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

Apple decided to split its iPhone launches this season; the autumn presentation featured only Apple iPhone 18 Pro and Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max models. They look almost identical to last year's versions, with the only change being the color lineup. The smartphones are slightly larger than their predecessors and feature a marginally smaller Dynamic Island cutout in the screen. They retain the 18-megapixel selfie cameras. Screen sizes remain unchanged, featuring Super Retina XDR displays (OLED with LTPO) in 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes. The rear of the devices still houses three 48-megapixel cameras, though the main lens has gained a variable aperture reaching f/4.0. Inside, they are powered by the new Apple A20 Pro processors, likely supported by 12 GB of RAM. Apple does not disclose battery capacities in mAh, but it is known that eSIM-only models (such as those for the US market) have slightly larger batteries than their physical SIM counterparts. Specifically, the Pro model has a capacity in the 4,100–4,300 mAh range, while the Pro Max ranges from 5,400 to 5,600 mAh.
