Oppo has expanded its Reno 16 smartphone series with an affordable model: the Oppo Reno16t. Despite its low price, the smartphone retains key features found in its more expensive siblings.
The Oppo Reno16t features a 6.32-inch display offering a high resolution of 2640x1216 pixels and peak brightness of up to 3600 nits, along with 3840 Hz dimming. The screen supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz. At its core, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super processor, supported by UFS 3.1 internal storage and either LPDDR5 or LPDDR5X RAM, depending on the capacity variant. A definite highlight is the 6700 mAh battery with 80W charging—an impressive capacity given the phone's form factor. The device dimensions are 151.21 x 72.42 x 8.2–8.36 mm (depending on the finish), while the weight—also varying by color—ranges from 188 to 191 g.

For a mid-range compact device, the new Reno boasts impressive camera specifications. It features a 50-megapixel selfie camera with autofocus (f/2.0), while the main module is a 200-megapixel unit with an f/1.8 aperture lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). The other two rear cameras are also 50-megapixel: a wide-angle lens with autofocus (f/2.0) and a telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom and OIS. The smartphone includes an under-display fingerprint scanner and a dedicated AI button, and it is rated IP68 and IP69K for durability. Three color options and two memory variants—12+256 GB and 16+512 GB—are available, priced at 3,699 and 4,499 yuan (approximately 550–670 USD), respectively. Technically, the new Oppo Reno 16t is nearly identical to the Chinese version of the Oppo Reno16, and its pricing is similar, though there are fewer memory configurations to choose from. Most likely, the model with the "t" suffix is intended exclusively for... to selected distribution channels...
