Hi, I have had this phone for about 4 months and as is typical for an iPhone, it functions very well, it has a good camera, the battery could be better but lately it has been draining quickly, I hope they release some updates that will improve this because it is probably the only disadvantage.

I have been using it since the launch and I can say one thing: it is excellent! I am finally perfectly satisfied with the phone. The only thing that irritates me is the geographical differentiation regarding the functioning of Siri / AI, but well, it seems this is beyond Apple's capabilities. Other than that, it is truly excellent!

Mój pierwszy iPhone

I have been using this phone for about a year as a work phone. The phone was purchased for 4,000 PLN. At the same time, I also bought a OnePlus Nord 4 for 1,350 PLN. It would seem that with a threefold difference in price, there would be a qualitative gap, right? Well, unfortunately not quite. Let's make a short comparison between these two phones:
- battery is similar on both phones; the iPhone has a much smaller battery, but also a smaller screen, so it balances out.
- charging is a TRAGEDY on the iPhone. I connect the inexpensive OnePlus for literally 5 minutes and I have 60%. The iPhone needs 2 hours to charge fully, which is particularly annoying at work, where I sometimes move around the company, the phone is needed, and I have no way to quickly recharge it.
- speed of operation: I use the iPhone mainly for the MS suite (Outlook, Teams, Power BI, etc.). I do not know if it is Microsoft's fault or something else, but these applications often perform slowly. The entire phone can also freeze, application icons disappear, nothing works, and this lasts for about 30 seconds. On the OnePlus, everything operates very efficiently. Sometimes a single application may occasionally hang, but overall Android as a system works very smoothly.
- screen: a 60 Hz refresh rate in a phone for 4,000 PLN is, in my opinion, a clear show of disrespect to customers... I do not understand how in 2025 one can sell such an inferior product, when 99% of phones on the market above 1,500 PLN offer at least 90 Hz. This is visible and noticeable in daily use. Regarding the colors of the OLED screens, the iPhone performs slightly better than the OnePlus; at least that much...
- screen locks: I understand that the iPhone's FaceID is very secure thanks to 3D face scanning, but at the same time, it is very slow compared to the single camera in the OnePlus, where unlocking the screen takes 0.5 seconds. Additionally, the iPhone does not offer fingerprint scanning at all, so when I am wearing, for example, a medical mask and safety goggles (which happens relatively often in my work), I have to enter the PIN every time...
- camera: here is the biggest surprise. I expected a significant difference, because even on paper the OnePlus loses in terms of parameters. In practice, for the main cameras, when taking photos with both phones simultaneously, I do not see a particular difference, and sometimes the OnePlus even clearly wins with automatic selection of aperture, focus, etc. For the front and wide-angle cameras, there is a clear advantage for the iPhone.
- dimensions: the iPhone is a handy phone that can be operated with one hand without much trouble. The OnePlus Nord is a very large and heavy device; this does not suit everyone.
- personalization: on the iPhone, it is currently much better than 10 years ago, but it still lacks many options to customize the phone to one's needs compared to Android.
- vibrations: the Taptic Engine, or whatever it is professionally called on the iPhone, is very effective. The vibrations are clear, varied, and strong. On the OnePlus, it is also not bad, but clearly worse. However, why can't I easily and quickly turn off both sound and vibration on the iPhone?! On every Android phone I have had so far, there was such an option. It is incredibly annoying that when placing the phone on the bedside table, I have to turn off Wi-Fi and mobile data every time so that the phone does not vibrate at night.
Reasumując - this phone is a nice piece of equipment, especially for Apple fans who do not mind various issues, but in my opinion, it is worth a maximum of 1,500 PLN... Everything above this amount is unreasonable.

Nothing special, it is acceptable. I would say it is a regression compared to older iPhones, there is no fingerprint reader. I am using it as my primary device due to a failure of my Motorola Edge 50 pro. I have no complaints regarding the speed of operation. However, the lack of a fingerprint reader and that ridiculously small battery is a failure. The last iPhone I had and used daily was the old Se 2016 . It was excellent, only it was already old and no longer functioned well. Above all, it had a fingerprint reader. It is missing here. A big disadvantage. In the Edge 50 pro I have it under the screen and I have become quite used to it. I had to temporarily change my habits because of the iPhone. Additionally, the gesture control is terrible. As an old-fashioned person accustomed to buttons, it is difficult to adapt. In Android I can turn that on. It is missing here. I will get rid of the IPhone 16 and buy the last one that had a fingerprint reader, the SE 2022, and see if I might switch back completely. For now, I rate it neutrally. It is not impressive.

From season to season, Apple basically offers exactly the same thing in a newer (worse) package. I have a comparison to the XS - now the back is plastic. iOS is excellent, but I have not noticed that the 16 works any faster than the XS. Of course, marketing says it is more impressive now because it performs a massive number of operations per second - what does that matter to the average user? The browser works just as fast. The camera - well, with every newer version, every user takes billions of photos that end up in the trash anyway. After 2 months of using the 16, I conclude that it is not worth it. It is better to buy a 14 or 15. I do not know why, but I find the reliable old XS more comfortable to use.

My first iPhone. And I have been using mobile phones for over 20 years. You can feel that it is in a different class. Extremely fast, system clarity, absence of unnecessary software, security features, support for the next 5-6 years, beautiful photos and videos, great speakers, and it feels excellent in the hand. That is why I chose the model 16 (in white) due to its small dimensions and low weight.

After about a year of ownership, I find that it is not bad, but it could be much better. The phone is comfortable; the 60 Hz refresh rate somehow stopped bothering me. However, the lack of an option to set the volume for a specific application is somewhat disappointing. I also miss the alarm clock feature from Android that shows how much sleep is remaining.
