Technical specifications

Unfortunately my rating for this phone is very low. It offers practically nothing more compared to the 13. Even the processor is the same. The screen is practically the same, 60 Hz for 5200 zł. I know, I know, that APPLE is not about the numbers, but one must have the audacity to offer something like this to customers.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 14 turns out to be a copy of the iPhone 13, nothing extraordinary, and they require you to pay 300 PLN more.

I have been using it for a few days, and so far, it is very positive :)

I switched from an over three-year-old iPhone 11; there was a trade-in option at one of the Apple stores, and I paid about 3600 PLN. For this price, it is perfectly fine; if I had to pay the original 5200, I would still be using the iPhone 11.

There is no massive leap, but for example, the camera is noticeably better in details, the HDR video is nice, the larger memory will be useful (jump from 64 to 126 GB), and the OLED screen performs very effectively (although sensitive individuals must be careful because it occasionally flickers, which basically does not happen on LCD). What bothers me about it is the warm, yellow tint, but that is characteristic of Apple screens (I always have True Tone and Night Shift turned off, so it is not that).

What I like most is that the screen is the same size, yet the phone is noticeably smaller, making it more comfortable to use despite the sharp edges (I use it in a silicone case). Additionally, the battery in the iPhone 11 was already significantly deteriorating, while here I have a completely new unit, and I have the impression that it generally holds a charge better than the iPhone 11, even when it was new ;)

You also generally have to get used to a few things (e.g., the minimum lens focus distance has changed), generally, photos must be taken with HDR (you can turn off its display in the gallery for all photos, but no longer for individual ones), etc. etc.

Among the pros – the speakers! They are exceptionally good! In my opinion, call quality is average, but that is a characteristic of iPhones; my old Lucia 735 was irreplaceable here. However, for multimedia – excellent! Face ID, in turn, is extremely impressive; it works simply phenomenally, it was not this good on the iPhone 11, even after some time when it was supposed to learn the face. Here, it also hesitates sometimes, but overall it works shockingly well!

Among the cons – iOS 16 is very disappointing. Generally, the last stable and almost flawless iOS was version 9 (and even then only on newer devices); since iOS 10, there has been a steady decline. So forget about the mythical perfection of iOS :D But overall it works; it is not as if the device is unusable or anything like that.

So I can recommend it if you can find it somewhere below 4000 PLN. For even one PLN more, it is not worth it at all. In reality, it is probably better to wait for series number 15 if someone is focused on changes. According to leaks, all phones in that series are supposed to have the Dynamic Island. This solution does not really convince me; if it does not convince you either, get the 14.

By the way, the blue color is exceptionally pretty, and the autofocus in the front camera is surprisingly good. And what else... if you publish stories on IG, disable HDR in video immediately. IG does not support it at all; I have tried everything. The video processes, but as if with the HDR removed, which looks terrible.

That is probably all from my stream of consciousness :P Oh, one more thing – the battery! It works very well; with lighter use, you can easily get a day and a half. I use the device very frequently, so I am on my phone all the time, and it easily lasts from morning until evening :)

Comparing it to my old Samsung s21+, it feels like I have gone back a generation. First and foremost, the notch. Samsung outclasses the iPhone 14 screen; there is also a lack of 120Hz, and it is noticeable. The blue and green colors are significantly superior on the Samsung. Only red and yellow are somewhat acceptable. The problem is that when watching outdoor videos, the Samsung always performs significantly better than the iPhone. Photos are also much better on the s21+, especially outdoors. Indoors, one or the other occasionally takes better photos. However, video is in a completely different class in favor of Apple. The same applies to the selfie camera. Here, both the naturalness and sharpness of the photos favor the iPhone, and it is several times better than the s21+. The battery also favors the iPhone. It lasts about 1.5 -2 longer than the Samsung. However, the screen size of the s21+ is significantly larger. But the iPhone fits better in a trouser pocket; when putting on shoes, I had to adjust the Samsung's position in my pocket. There is no such problem here. YouTube performance is better on the Samsung; for the most part, it always loaded content faster. But the rest worked better on the 14. As for the sound, nothing matches my old LG G7. In the Samsung, the sound was flat compared to the G7. In my car, I felt like I had premium brand equipment installed when listening through the G7. During a 1500 km trip, I did not want to stop listening to that sound. In the iPhone, it is unfortunately a class lower. And that is what I miss the most. It is supposedly okay, but it is not the same sound as the G7. The iPhone has its advantages, but it also has many disadvantages. For me, it is a completely average phone that should never be sold at such a price.

Good morning. I am currently a user of this model. I have it in the 6/128 GB version, blue color. The phone was purchased quite recently, a few days ago. The only thing I can say is that it is a better choice than my previous phone (Samsung Galaxy A25). I am a railway photographer and this phone meets my every expectation. Whether I record during the day, at night, in the snow, or in the rain, the phone still performs well. I also often use social media, make calls, and write SMS or MMS messages, and I have not regretted the purchase. It is not the newest model, nor the Pro or Pro Max, but it is simply great. During night filming and photos, the sharpness of the passing trains is extremely high. There is not that much noise or grain. When recording in low light, the quality is acceptable. Front camera 12 MP. I also appreciate the crash detection feature and Action mode. The 6-core Apple Bionic A15 processor, which performs significantly better than the previous Samsung Exynos 1280 (8 cores). 6.1-inch OLED Super Retina XDR screen, 60 Hz screen refresh rate. Currently, I have iOS 26.
Minusy:
When recording for 4 h, the battery can drain quite quickly.
Lack of Dynamic Island.
Lack of USB-C port.
I recommend it to anyone who has a lower budget and wants a relatively new iPhone. ;)

Good morning, it is time for a summary of using the iPhone 14. The phone is similar in appearance to several other Apple models but that does not change the fact that in the red color it looks really excellent. I have had many iPhone models and none of them disappointed, it is similar here because it works excellently. Of course one can criticize this model for having a repetitive design and the same processor as the iPhone 13 manufactured in a 5 nm process but in daily use it does not matter because the phone is not meant to fail. I read a bit and found out that unlike the iPhone 13 this model received not 4 but 6 GB RAM. The camera takes nice photos even at night, of course unlike the Pro there is only a two times optical zoom and a five times digital zoom but honestly speaking I rarely use it. Of course there is an ultra wide angle camera that takes nice and detailed photos. To summarize: if someone owns an iPhone 13 it is not entirely worthwhile to change to the 14, there are few changes. If despite everything someone wants to buy this model I definitely recommend it because it works excellently.

I have been using this phone for four months. Previously, I had a Huawei P30. The transition from Android was not difficult. The design of the phone is nice. I suggest using a case because it is slippery. The battery easily lasts the whole day. It operates smoothly, does not freeze, and the operating speed is good. As for the signal sensitivity, in my case, it is slightly worse than in the P 30. In the same locations, I have "fewer bars". It has happened that the 5G symbol was visible on the display and the signal fluctuated between one and two bars, yet I had problems opening websites. As for the camera, in my opinion, it is overrated compared to the P 30. The photos are relatively good, but they are not particularly impressive. On the other hand, the videos are excellent. Overall, I would buy it again, but if someone cares about photo quality, I advise considering the PRO version. In my opinion, it is a bit too expensive for its capabilities, but that is my personal feeling.

After good experiences with 6s and XR, I was tempted to buy the 14 and it is the last iPhone I have purchased. The price is high, the small screen is a plus for me, but I valued Apple for its reliability; after 1.5 years the iPhone 14 can freeze while browsing the internet or not allow me to answer a call. The battery at 85% does not last the whole day. iOS updates cause only problems such as phone overheating and faster battery consumption, without providing anything in return. The lack of a Polish assistant in the era of AI is a joke, and many new features are unavailable in Poland. What finally convinced me to discard it was the total lack of cooperation with AppleCar; it does not allow for anything in the car, the lack of the Polish language does not even allow for making a phone call, and you cannot set up automation for sharing a Wi-Fi hotspot for the car- too. This phone has changed me from a fan into an opponent of Apple

iPhone 14 is not worth this price. A smartphone that costs over 5 000 PLN on its release day cannot take a photo with sharpness at the level of any Samsung over 1500 PLN. This is scandalous because essentially iPhone 11 offers noticeably the same as iPhone 14 (granted it has a better processor but already in the 11 it was at such a level that great differences are not noticed). New features also include 5G and a better battery. And probably only this battery will convince someone to change to a newer iPhone model. Additionally I have the impression that the 11 has a more colorful display than any successor. The iOS system is transparent and "clean" which is why people buy iPhones; yes the system is the main advantage however 5 000 is an exaggeration for such weak components. It does not even have 120Hz refreshing?

The only thing I can say against it is the evidently weaker camera compared to even half-priced Android smartphones. Another point against it is the lack of RAW support. At this price point, RAW support should be a standard feature. Another issue is saving photos in HEIC format. It has to be converted to JPG so that all graphic programs can open it. It is a pity that I do not have the option to choose between HEIC and JPG. Other than that, the smartphone is great... If someone is not a demanding mobile photographer, the device is fine.
