The phone is very fast and does not lag, it is simple to use and refined in terms of usability, and it is very pleasant to use. For me, the compact size is a major advantage. The battery is sufficient for a phone of this size.

I bought the phone new for cash in December 2018 and I have been using it until today. On the day of purchase, it probably had iOS 10, and currently it has 16.3.1. I consider this phone to be the best iPhone I have had so far, following the 4s and SE 2015. The only thing I can criticize in this model is the rather unsuccessful battery; you need to pay attention to it and monitor its condition in the form of charging cycles, for example with the free 3utools program on Windows; on Mac, the tool is built into iTunes. If you have had this model for more than 3 years and the number of cycles exceeds 1400, it is high time for a replacement; the phone will regain a second life. I had 2,000 cycles on one battery and it slowed down its performance significantly. I decided to replace it at iHospital in Krakow because I trust this service; I had the battery replaced in a 7 Plus with them two years ago and it works very well. If anyone wonders why I did not decide to have it replaced at an authorized service point, I will provide the answer now: in 2018, I replaced the battery in my old SE 1st gen at iDream Krakow; they installed a faulty cell and, as it later turned out, they did not even verify the battery, claiming later that my phone was broken and suggesting I buy a new unit at an astronomical price. That is all regarding authorized service centers.

I bought it today, used, grade A, 3-month warranty, 100% battery, visual condition A++, white color. This is probably my tenth iPhone, the previous one was SE 2016 128GB. I acquired the current one in the 256GB version. So, as befits an iPhone - everything is great. It is slightly larger than its predecessor, but there is a trade-off. It updated to iOS 16.3.2 without any issues (just now). The phone has already been tested; for a 2017 model, it is quite brilliant. LTE cat.9 easily exceeds 100Mb/s, the earpiece sound is excellent, the screen PPI is another excellence, and finally, the state of irritation will end (switching from Huawei P Smart 2019). For me, from now on nothing else matters, it will always be only iPhone. Never again Android, oh no, Google's creations are not for my nerves. Starting today, I am also beginning to save money for an iPhone 14, there is no reason to hesitate. This, ..., is supposed to cost as much as it costs because it is worth it, and those who give negative ratings to the iPhone on this site have never held an iPhone in their lives. It is ridiculous to compare an iPhone, even the 8, to Samsung 6 and 7, stop making yourselves look foolish, because someone who has had even an iPhone SE, 6s, 7 or even 8 will never return to Android, even one with 10 cameras, because... still only one of them is actually useful. 2GB RAM in iOS behaves like 8GB in Android, a fact as certain as the existence of the Sun, and the build quality of the phones ... and the performance of the processors... such things Android toys will achieve ... in the next century. I will never return to Android, oh no, no, even if they were giving them away for the price of toilet paper. Finally, everything connects, synchronizes, does not complain that it is not working, finally I am online again.
I am reading the second comment and - if I may interject - I do not quite understand how one can compare any low-end Android smartphone to an iPhone and draw conclusions about Android's performance (I do not have a particular liking for this system or any other) or the performance of an Android smartphone. I mean, of course you can, just as you can compare a sheep to a jet: after all, both can be thrown off an edge to study the diving characteristics or turned into clothing and compared for oxidation or penetration by a Gatling bullet. But does that really say anything about the world? Nevertheless, I should note, I am no expert - I am just a technician. (jf)

I was a user of this model from April 2023 to January 2024 and in my opinion, the phone was relatively good. I had the 2/64 GB version in Space Gray. At that time, it was still equipped with the latest (as of April 2023) iOS 16. The phone worked smoothly and I did not notice any performance slowdowns. The battery health was 81%, and then 79% in June 2023. I was a person who enjoyed social media, mobile games, and taking photos, which was impeccable for this former flagship from September 2017. I received it after damaging a Samsung Galaxy S20. I was in 5th grade at the time. 6-core Apple Bionic A11 processor, 4.7-inch Retina HD LCD screen, and a battery with a capacity of 1821 mAh, 60 Hz. It had a 12 Mpix camera, True Tone function, and IP67 certification, but unfortunately, in September 2023, 7 years had passed and support ended. My opinion for 2023: positive! ;)

I believe that the iPhone 8 with its 2GB of RAM and 64GB of memory is not suitable for 2024. The battery is weak. The phone is generally well-made, but for this year it does not perform well. In the past, flagship models with 4GB of RAM were much better for their respective years. I am not saying that the IP8 is weak for the year 2024, but frankly speaking, the phone is only suitable for social media such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, although the battery is not sufficient. Therefore, in my opinion, even though iOS 16 supports this phone, it is not very good for this year. It is better to buy a newer model or an Android for 900 zł that has as much as 6GB of RAM and 120GB of memory. Regards.

Formerly, for a given year, flagships with 4GB were much better. I am not saying that the IP8 is weak for the year 2024, but to be honest the phone only performs well for social media, such as TikTok Instagram YouTube, although the battery is not sufficient. I bought this phone exactly a few days ago. I am an enthusiast of old technologies. The phone was in ex-display condition, it has iOS 16, and the battery health is 89 %. I am in 8th grade. I am a person who plays games on phones and constantly uses social media. Really, considering that this phone is almost 10 years old, it performs well. It runs almost everything I need. On a daily basis I use the S24 FE, but despite the age of the iPhone 8, it can truly be used as a primary phone.

I have owned the IPhone 8 for 3.5 years. I am satisfied with it. It is not of an excessive size, but comfortable, convenient to use. I will replace it with a new one only because of the cracked screen glass, which already makes usage difficult. For some time now I have had to check whether it is charging (usually it is), because the connection is not always stable, but despite everything the phone has already been in use for a long time ?? I have no complaints.

I love this phone, it is only a pity that it does not update to iOS 17.
