Technical specifications

I have been using this smartphone for some time. It is a model that belongs to a series of rugged devices for a specific group of users. The phone is really heavy, but also very durable; it has military resistance certificates and ingress protection standards, so it is ready for any eventuality. It is also a bit thick, but compared to other models in this line, it does not look bad and, above all, it presents itself well. The metal frame around the lenses or the cover for the charging port add style to it. One also cannot forget about the dedicated button to which you can assign selected functions and applications. The display is quite readable, but not in full sun, because it lacks brightness there. The processor is a MediaTek supporting the next generation network and manufactured using a modern technological process. Additionally, we have twelve gigabytes of RAM, plenty of storage for files, and something that is disappearing nowadays; namely a memory card slot. The parameters are really nice, but how does the device perform in daily use? It heats up slightly, and while browsing the internet, it can stutter a bit, which means it lacks better system optimization. The hardware runs on Android 14, and it is sad that there is no support in the form of further updates. The cameras look good on paper: the main one has one hundred and eight megapixels (it takes photos at a lower resolution in automatic mode, but full resolution can be enabled), plus a wide angle and a night vision camera. Well, the photos are, in short, poor. Of course, by taking them at full resolution, you can extract a bit more detail, but let us not expect miracles. The battery is good; in my case, it easily lasted a whole day. It might have lasted a second one, but I did not check that specifically. To sum up: Doogee V40 is a piece of equipment that has its advantages, such as resistance to difficult conditions, a good battery, or a card slot. However, it also has significant disadvantages: the camera takes tolerable photos but nothing impressive, system updates are missing, there is only a single speaker on board, the screen has low maximum brightness, and the optimization is poor. It is difficult to clearly recommend or discourage this model; it is a specific piece of equipment, but despite these flaws, I enjoy using it quite a bit. Regards.
