I just wanted to inform you that despite the information about the lack of an accelerometer (in the sensors section), this phone does possess an accelerometer (it changes orientation from vertical to horizontal when rotated). It has weaker backlighting compared to the models in the U11 family. The difference between the 6" models compared to the 5.5" ones is only in screen height. There is no proportional difference in size.
HTC did not list an accelerometer in the specifications for this smartphone, which is responsible for measuring acceleration, not necessarily orientation. Instead, it listed a gravity sensor, which performs this function and does not have to be an accelerometer - meanwhile, a gyroscope, which is indeed listed for the smartphone, can act in this capacity (as a gravity sensor). The gravity sensor is also explicitly listed in the specifications. We do not guess when creating specifications; we provide what the manufacturer declares. In this case, the set of sensors handles screen orientation changes without any issues even without an accelerometer. (jf)
