I am very curious... could it be that a switch from the u11 awaits me after 5 years? A slightly smaller version would be useful, but at least it will be released in Europe...

I have been using this phone for a few days, and unfortunately, reality has not met my expectations. Most of all, the front camera is very poor; I hope they fix it with an update. There are very few customization options. The battery also does not perform very well. On the positive side, the system operation is smooth and problem-free. There is no stuttering or freezing. Photos from the rear cameras are acceptable. Call quality is also acceptable. So far, however, I am not sure if this was a good purchase. I hope an update is released that will refine this phone a bit.

I switched from a POCO X3 Pro which, after about 2 years, simply would not turn on one day and did not respond to anything. (I do not recommend it).
I have had the HTC for about a month (this is not my first HTC; I had the M8 Lite and U Ultra, which still works today) and among the advantages I can mention:
- Efficiency and speed of operation; compared to the POCO powered by the Snapdragon 8 series and supposedly faster memory, there is a large difference for the better. It can get a bit warm, but it does not exceed my threshold of discomfort; I do not have to put it in the refrigerator to cool it down on a hot day ;)
- Much better cameras, very good in my opinion; videos also turn out well.
- The screen is rather average for an OLED, but still significantly better than the POCO.
- Battery is fine, comparable to the POCO; it easily lasts a whole day at work, on Bluetooth headphones, listening to YouTube with the screen off, plus an occasional phone call and about 1 hour of screen-on time. (9 hours of such work takes about 50-70% of the battery, depending on network coverage).
- GPS works efficiently enough; I had no problems with it during a total of several hours of navigation.
- A disadvantage is the weight, as you can feel it quite significantly in your hand, but in return, it seems very solid and is well-balanced; the center of gravity falls on the HTC logo :) I noticed this because the POCO was top-heavy due to the cameras, which made it very difficult to use when held vertically, for example, when writing a text message with one hand.
- I have the brown one, but next time I would choose white :) it is a very nice phone; after the unsophisticated design of the POCO, it is finally something that is not embarrassing to take out of one's pocket ;)
- Price: I bought it when the price dropped to 1200 zł, and for that money, it is a great choice (I considered it at 1500 zł and I think I would not have been disappointed at that price either). If it is as durable as the U Ultra, it could be a mid-range legend for me on the same level as my first smartphone, the LG L9, the equally successful G2 mini, or the Lumia 830, which remains impressive in terms of hardware to this day (except perhaps for the camera ;) ).
Summary:
As of today, a strong 8.5/10. It is not a phone for smartphone enthusiasts but for the average user who wants a decent phone on a limited budget; I highly recommend it.

This phone is a mistake. Everything looks good on paper, but after 3 months it turns out to be a complete failure. I bought it out of sentiment for the brand because I had several different HTC models before, but never again. The phone freezes, loses signal - it crackles excessively during calls at random, and as for the photos, a calculator from my first communion in 1987 takes better ones. A disaster. The casing wears out significantly despite being in a case. It was purchased from official Media Expert distribution, so it is likely not a counterfeit. Avoid it entirely. I do not know where this high rating on the portal comes from - perhaps from people who used the phone for a maximum of one week...

Pros
-fast
-waterproof ip67
-it can be appealing
-plenty of storage and RAM (reviewers complain that it is slow, but in the poco x6 it is no longer slow. Strange.
-all this for 1200
Cons
-energy-intensive and heating processor
-smaller than average battery
-the sum of the previous cons results in a short operating time
-rear cameras not protected with better glass. After two days I noticed the first scratches.

After a week of use, the phone was returned. The microphone is a failure. The people I spoke with could not understand me at all. It crackled and distorted the voice. It heated up for no reason while lying unused. The photos looked as if they were taken with a microwave. For this price, one can buy something better.

I warn you, do not buy. Complete ignorance from the service center. During a call, the person I was talking to heard crackling and distortion. After 2 months in repair, the service center stated mechanical damage. A shock.
