Halina Siwa

Good morning. On March 9, 2022, I purchased a Maxcom Classic MM330 3G black phone, and the phone was defective from the very beginning. It started with it refusing to charge; it was sent to the service center and returned with a note stating that the phone was functional - and indeed, after returning, it worked flawlessly. However, at the end of November, problems started again: the keyboard stopped working correctly, the battery discharges within a few hours, there is distorted sound during calls, and leaked spots appeared on the screen near the black frame. A complaint was filed for these defects on December 5, 2022. However, the authorized Maxcom service center refused the warranty repair, stating, among other things, that the defects could have been caused by the phone bending itself (which to me is complete nonsense and information fabricated by the technician, as the phone is well-maintained, practically without any scratches, so there can be no question of any self-bending. Regarding the described spots on the screen, the technician claims it is the result of the glue under the glass dissolving, which indicates the device came into contact with chemicals or solvent. This is also total nonsense to me, as I am a retiree staying at home and have no contact with such substances. Therefore, I do not accept this refusal to repair the phone. I used the phone in a standard manner, I am disappointed with the service center's handling of the matter, so I appealed the decision and asked the operator for intervention, noting that if necessary, I would report this to the Consumer Ombudsman. After the appeal, I received another response stating that the service center maintains its refusal to recognize the complaint and suddenly sends a photo as documentation showing that the phone was flooded, writing that the phone shows signs of moisture and that the indicator paper is discolored, which to me is further nonsense. If that were the case, why did I not receive these photos and information the first time the repair was refused, instead of only after my intervention? This is not very credible to me, and I claim that the service center is trying to deceive me. I believe that the phone repair is justified, and the service center does not want to perform it, portraying me as someone attempting to extort a repair. This is because after the fact, they send photos of unknown origin that have nothing to do with my phone. I am disgusted by the activities of your service center and the defectiveness of the phones you sell. Therefore, once again through this channel, I ask for the complaint to be accepted; otherwise, I will go to the Consumer Ombudsman and even to court with a civil lawsuit because I will not allow anyone to accuse me of something I did not do!!!
With all due respect, I hope you do not think that we have anything to do with any manufacturer whose device specifications we publish. The local consumer rights ombudsman's office is the appropriate place to ask for help. The office does not have any special legal prerogatives, but it often helps in mediation between the client and the manufacturer, so it is worth contacting them, presenting all correspondence with the manufacturer - and asking for intervention. This will achieve more than publishing the history of a complaint even on the most widely read technical website on the internet. Regards, and I wish you success with your complaint. (jf)

Terrible phone, I purchased an additional battery, a defective one was sent, never, despite reminders and the theoretical acceptance of the complaint, did I receive the money. Mail dated 02.03.20. They did not answer the phone calls either, I was defrauded. Very negative impressions!
