FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Inductive charging is available in OnePlus 9 Pro. Note – an inductive charger is an accessory that is rarely included in the phone package. If you don't have an inductive charger, you need to get one in order to use this type of charging. It is also possible to charge the phone using a traditional charger.
OnePlus 9 Pro is without a jack socket. You should get Bluetooth headphones or a suitable adapter that allows you to connect wired headphones. Our advanced search will allow you to check which phone models have a jack socket.

I have been using the smartphone for about half a year, bought new, 12/256 Pine Green version. Fortunately, the box contains everything necessary, although OnePlus boxes are unusually large ;) (this is my 3rd phone from this company).

Visually it is fine, it feels comfortable in the hand despite its large dimensions (one handed operation is difficult), build quality is very good, buttons have good travel + a slider for changing modes.

The display is vivid, with many modes to configure (dark mode, natural shades display, etc.), bezels are obviously small, adaptive refresh rate, everything possible for current times.

Technically also great, fast, without stutters, etc., of course it gets warm as the Snap 888 does, but it is tolerable; in daily tasks it is difficult to make it overheat, games etc. are another matter. The speakers are completely sufficient.

The battery lasts well, it should last a whole intensive day, with less use even two days, charging is excellent, you connect it for a moment and before you know it, it is full + additionally wireless charging ;).

The camera is good, completely sufficient, the automatic mode changes colors slightly but it is possible to take a nice photo in pro mode. The night mode sees what I do not see, which is ... strange, but interesting and it performs well.

I can confidently recommend this phone because it is fully complete for these times and the price is going down + 2 major updates ;)

Overall, I am very satisfied with this phone and can confidently recommend it after half a year of use.

Pros:
1) very, very smooth operation,
2) I rate the main camera very highly, in my opinion, the color reproduction on it is better than on the iPhone 13 pro,
3) great screen, it has everything I expect - 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, QHD+ resolution, and a curved screen,
4) very fast charging - to full in less than 30 minutes. I know there are faster-charging phones, but with such fast charging, 5-10 minutes less is not a big difference for me. The most important thing is that the phone charges during my morning dog walk - and this one does it :)
5) price and charger included in the set.

Cons:
1) I previously had a Samsung s21 and the phone received updates faster, even in the month to which the security patch applied. Samsung made me accustomed to a high standard, and now I expect the same from other phones. With OnePlus, unfortunately, I have to wait longer for the latest updates.

Firstly, I have been a fan of the brand from the very beginning. I have not owned all models, but I have used the 1, 3, 5T, 6, 9, and currently the 9Pro for a very long time. I must sadly state that I am most disappointed with the 9Pro, but to the point. The appearance and screen are beyond reproach - very good. The charging is phenomenal. The battery is decent. The camera - it is good and very good, but there are errors and so-called "worse days." The video without remarks is excellent. And basically, it is strange that since these are all advantages, the question is where the disadvantages are. There is one flaw and it is a very significant one - system stability. Previously, while using other OP models, I was even certain that even if the camera was not good or the battery was average, the system would work as it does in OP, which is excellently; that is not the case here. Practically not a day goes by without something experiencing a delay or stuttering. These are not very drastic things in terms of user experience, but they are very troublesome. Simply put, OP is supposed to work smoothly and stably; that was and I hope still is its greatest advantage, whereas the OP9 PRO is the opposite of that. To be clear, I have been using it for almost 2 years and for now I am not changing it due to other advantages, so if someone wants to buy such a device, I probably recommend its next generations, where it should be better.

This is my 4th OnePlus in a row and unfortunately the last one. I have always been very satisfied mainly due to the light, fast, and refined system on board. However, this is not the case with this one... The components are indeed quite good. For a Chinese smartphone, it can take quite good photos as long as you spend some time on the settings (on default, it exaggerates the green colors significantly). Unfortunately, the software is the worst part... Despite many updates, the always-on display still turns off from time to time, the brightness sensor malfunctions, and battery consumption can suddenly increase to 10% per hour for no reason even while in a pocket, and then resolve itself just as unexpectedly. Some settings simply do not work. If it were not for the fact that a very fast charger was included with the phone from the factory, I would have gotten rid of it a long time ago. I would also consider the very weak vibration strength a disadvantage. This is probably the phone with the weakest vibrations I have ever owned. What is the point of them being haptic if I often do not feel a notification in my pocket? Generally, I do not recommend it.

Encouraged by positive reviews, I took advantage of a promotion a few months ago and purchased the OP 9 pro, replacing a 2,5 year old Huawei P30 Pro. Honestly, I am disappointed. First, the downsides: stability - the phone freezes and has issues with smoothness. It often needs to be restarted. It happens that on YouTube the screen exhibits ghosting like in old televisions. I have never seen anything like this in any phone...smarton overheats during inductive charging with android auto enabled. Generally, the quality of AA performance is low, there is often a problem with detecting the GPS location. The problem does not occur in the phone's normal navigation mode. Besides that, the camera in comparison to the P30 Pro is a draw; it handles some scenes better, others worse. Pros: a nice screen, decent battery life (worse than the p30 pro, but the display consumes its share of power), fast charging. Honestly, in hindsight, I regret the decision to replace the phone. Oneplus is moderately optimized...

I have owned the OnePlus 9 Pro for two years and was satisfied until the latest update. Currently, if the phone is discharged, it has a significant problem turning on. This is a complete disaster. The procedure to restore it to working order (the only one I found on the Internet that worked) is an absurdity. It must be left discharged for a minimum of 12 hours (to ensure it is completely drained), then it must be charged for 24 hours (without touching it, because if you touch it and turn on the display, you must start again). Otherwise, it turns on for literally one second and then turns off again (despite being connected to the charger). You can only imagine how much stress this causes; I have experienced this situation twice already.

A small review update. After 2.5 years of use, the Wi-Fi became completely non-functional. From what I have read on forums, this is a typical problem of the module being "damaged by high temperatures" from the processor. After a few months, the speakers also stopped working. They crackle as if someone were breaking glass. Additionally, the battery lasts for an extremely short period of time. With LTE enabled, the percentage can decrease very rapidly, by 1% per minute. I have not had such problems with any other OnePlus smartphone (and I have owned several). This is probably their least successful model in history. I definitely advise everyone against it.
I bought the Nord 4 for 1400 zł and the difference is very significant.

A great phone. Even the battery, which so many people complain about, is really decent. It may not be at the top level of endurance, but I very rarely manage to completely exhaust a fully charged phone in one day. An additional plus for the very fast charging. From 20 to 100% in less than 20 min. The only downside is the very weak vibrations, which caused me to miss a call a few times. Other than that, the phone is of high quality. I do not regret the decision.

Great phone, I had concerns about the battery, but in power saving mode with a qhd screen and 120 hz, it achieves 7 hours of screen time (tik tok, YouTube, Facebook)!!! The photos are excellent, as is the smoothness of operation. What more could one desire from a phone.

Positive opinion

Lukas

I have been using it for 3 years, a great phone. Everything works as it should. It still does not experience any performance slowdowns. I highly recommend OnePlus.
