Description

Released in the first quarter of 2025, the phone features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the device is certified for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos provide high-quality audio. At its heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset running Android 15, available in 8/256 GB or 12/512 GB configurations. For thermal management, it includes a vapor chamber with LiquidCool 4.0 technology. The 6000 mAh battery supports 90 W fast charging, with the power adapter included in the box. The POCO X7 Pro features a dual rear camera setup: a 50 MP main lens with optical and electronic image stabilization (OIS and EIS), and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. It records video in up to 4K at 60 fps. The camera system supports AI features, and the smartphone, like the base version, showcases a fresh new design. Available in black, green, and yellow.

After 10 months of struggle I must write that this phone is unfortunately a failure. I note that I do not play games, so the speed of operation is comparable to older Samsung models. The screen is worse than, for example, in the S21. Cameras like in a 7-year-old Redmi Note 7! But what is worst here is the battery. The battery is a tragedy. From the beginning it has been drained by the POCO Launcher system process, which constantly loads the processor: after charging, it lasts a maximum of a dozen or so hours of very basic use. This is the first so objectively weak Made in China product I have dealt with. Overall, I bought an S21 for a very low price and I am using it because my patience with this low-quality device has run out.

The overall impression is good after switching from the Mi11.
Slightly square, the battery is a positive aspect, the impression that compared to the 3 year old Mi11 with several applications open simultaneously it is slightly slower.
Good touch sensitivity and fingerprint reader.
I do not use the camera so it could be completely absent as far as I am concerned.

I read these negative reviews and they do not correspond to my phone at all. I took a risk and bought it on AliExpress almost a year ago, the 512GB version, the most powerful one. I spent some time dealing with the ads at the beginning, gradually turned everything off, and now I have peace. I believe the phone is absolutely worth its price; I paid about 1300 PLN, I do not remember exactly. On the plus side - speed of operation, call quality, display, camera, battery. I gradually learned this HyperOS and it is not bad, seriously. I charge the phone every 2 days. Oh, by the way - the set also included a 90W charger and it is very effective, 20 minutes 0-100%?? Incredible! I just compared it with the Pixel 9a, I have a sentiment for them, I have owned several of them already, but no, probably not. I probably would not be interested in the 10 either, quite a few shortcomings. For normal, daily use, POCO is great! Nothing worrying is happening with it, the operation is super smooth, the photos are decent... If you buy a phone from China - spend some time removing unnecessary software from this device - it will be worth it. As for the downsides - I wanted to buy Bose QC Ultra, they work on AptX Adaptive and my firmware probably does not support it... I will not buy them just for AAC, I do not like this codec. Someone might say there is no difference in sound... oh, there is. Apparently, the lack of support for AptX Adaptive is related to the main processor and it is unlikely that this will change. But AptX HD works, even though it was not supposed to :) My Sennheiser Momentum 4 work without any issues. Nothing disconnects, nothing distorts - it is okay. Other downsides... nothing else comes to mind, I am sorry. I recommend the device as a daily driver - it is really good!

My previous phone was a Realme 8. POCO X7 Pro in the 8/256 version bought in the official Xiaomi store for 1189.00 PLN - version without a charger included, only the cable itself.

First positive impressions:
- camera: photos turn out incomparably better
- performance: navigating through applications and the speed of installing new ones takes a moment (1.6 million in Antutu), you can expand the memory by an additional 4,8 RAM at the expense of internal memory
- screen: the jump from 1000 to 3200 nits makes an incredible impression when using the phone outdoors; as for colors, I only needed a screen with perfect black at night (hence amoled), colors can be adjusted, but it is an option that I do not know how to configure; additionally, videos are better to watch, even though both Realme 8 and POCO X7 Pro have a 20:9 image - the POCO is wider.
- system: HyperOS 2, I am learning it anew, it has options such as a private album or home screen configuration; a small minus for notifications and settings on two sides of the upper screen, but I have already gotten used to it
- a big plus is the fast charging of the battery in 40 minutes max + IP68 + stereo speakers with an equalizer that actually works

- lack of a jack and a place for an SD card, there is dual SIM, but it is a pity they did not make a longer tray
- I am waiting for HyperOS 2 software updates; apparently the system is not optimized and it is possible that the battery is being depleted rapidly because of this

Overall impression is very positive - price/quality for a phone for slightly over a thousand PLN for daily tasks.

I have been using the phone for only 3 days.

My previous phone was a Samsung S20 FE; unfortunately, the AMOLED screen stopped working, so I decided to buy something new and my choice fell on the POCO X7 Pro. Switching from the Samsung, I felt that it is a lower-tier phone (even though the Samsung is already 6 years old). The screen is not as good as the one in the Samsung. The sound is also worse. The camera in the S20 FE is much better than the one in the POCO. The phone takes very inconsistent photos. It sometimes loses focus on the background in photos, so it is best to take several photos and choose the best one. The main camera takes photos at 12 Mpix and here HDR and AI work. After switching to PRO, you can take photos at 50 Mpix, but without the HDR and AI functions, which makes no sense to me. The wide-angle camera might as well not exist ? it takes photos of such poor quality. But... the phone can be purchased on Ali for 850 zł, so it must be viewed as a low-budget device. And at this price, you will not find a better phone. The battery lasts a long time and charges quickly. The processor in this model is very efficient; it will run every game even on the highest settings; in fact, even games from the Switch run smoothly (although the phone heats up quite a bit during gameplay). A good antenna is installed in it; it has better reception and better call quality compared to the Samsung. Overall, I rate the phone positively, considering the price, of course.

I have owned this phone for 2 weeks. I have not experienced any stuttering yet; it is ultra-fast even with a large number of open applications. The battery is great, although I am concerned that it may start to drain over time, as I have already read such reviews. The front camera is quite good; I have not tested it for more professional shots yet, but I think it will perform well.

The only two disadvantages result from the software, namely:
- the control bar at the top is separated from the notifications. I thought it would be possible to change this in the settings and resolve the issue, but unfortunately there is no such option; for me, this is a significant disadvantage, although I will probably get used to it over time
- the second disadvantage, probably the worst, is the unnatural selfies, despite disabling all enhancements. Photos from the front camera seem to be processed through some AI filter. Literally a second after taking it, the photo is natural, and then it is modified - unnecessary eye correction and sharpening. Unfortunately, this cannot be turned off, which disqualifies taking selfies with the built-in camera for me. Fortunately, in other applications such as Snapchat or Messenger, such face correction does not occur, so that is the only way to take a normal photo. This also means that the problem lies within the camera application.
Overall, despite these drawbacks, I am very satisfied so far.

The phone is generally good; it is attractive and quite fast for its price category. It takes decent photos. There is only one problem, namely the lack of a proximity sensor. The description states that it is present, but it is not physically there, and there is an issue when talking. If the phone is held to the ear, it does not automatically switch to earpiece mode and the screen does not lock, which often causes the call to be disconnected by the ear or random things to be pressed on the screen. It is extremely annoying.
The manufacturer lists the proximity sensor in first place in the specifications: https://www.mi.com/global/product/poco-x7-pro/specs Since mGSM.pl provides the manufacturer's specifications, we cannot omit the proximity sensor. The manufacturer does not state that it is a "virtual" sensor or that, for example, the light sensor performs its role. If one is talking "on speaker," which I understand as being in hands-free mode, it is normal for the proximity sensor not to function. Hands-free mode assumes that the phone is not being held to the ear. Onomatomaja is a very nice nickname. Regards. (jf)

I have had the phone for 5 months, the 12/512 version, which I managed to buy for 1400 zlotys. After the initial configuration, there are no advertisements, except for a few applications from POCO that could not be removed (90 percent could be removed), but they are unnecessary and you simply do not have to use them. The battery lasts for two days without gaming. The speed of the phone is normal, meaning that today's applications are so overloaded with unnecessary data that the comfort of use is anyway limited by the speed with which these applications connect to their server. 12 gigabytes of RAM is unnecessary, background applications are terminated regularly anyway - I do not know how much of this is the fault of Android, how much of HyperOS, and how much is due to battery management. The main camera is nothing extraordinary but it is suitable for daily use. The wide-angle camera is very weak, and I have not used the selfie camera. It has good and loud speakers, but the sound via Bluetooth is quite quiet. The call quality is very good. The fingerprint reader works well.

I have had the POCO X7 Pro for two years. I will start with the photos: in manual settings, the phone takes better photos than the iPhone 17 (I compared them). Thanks to AI assistance, it looks good. Battery life varies – when working on the phone, I charge it every day, but when only receiving calls, I sometimes have 30% left after two days, which I consider a good result. The screen is nice, and it is good for watching movies (when I cannot sleep, Netflix is the primary choice). The system is slightly worse. If this phone had stock Android without overlays, it would be an extremely durable device. With the overlay, it is slightly weaker, but it still performs very well. As I mentioned before, I have had it for two years and the battery still performs sufficiently, and the photos are decent. Previously, I had Xiaomi Redmi, Doogee S60, and Motorola. I use the phone for work, and despite several drops, it is intact. I think the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The next one I buy will also be a POCO X8 Pro. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Positive opinion

kamm998

Using the phone after one week. I will start with the downsides that are generally known. The camera quality is even poorer than expected. If anyone intends to buy it for a gallery of pointless photos, then go ahead. The second issue is the construction of the external casing. The yellow back panel is stunning at first glance. However, it feels as if one entered a very small and fragile vehicle. I am afraid to have it in my pocket during physical activities. Like entering some VW (Volkswagen), the casing creaks a bit... As for the pros... The Amoled is beautiful. Although you need to take care of it (I recommend protective glass upon purchase). Performance? Beautiful. But some applications, due to their software, tend to freeze regardless of the specifications... The highlight remains the games and the battery, for which I bought it. Games run well. High settings are of excellent quality for connoisseurs and provide a stable frame rate. The graphics are also good. The phone is typically manufactured for the gaming sector. Greetings!
