Of course, there is a downside right at the beginning, as is typical with Xiaomi: ubiquitous "suggestions" and advertisements, one must spend some time on them. Aside from that, there are only positives. The camera is impressive, the optical stabilization works beautifully, as do the 4K 60 fps videos, although the casing heats up slightly during such filming. The speakers are satisfactory, they actually provide a hint of bass, and they play pleasantly clean and clear. The screen has beautiful colors and viewing angles, the speed is also excellent, the phone is responsive and pleasant to use. The battery seems adequate for the requirements of the components, yet it still allows for long usage. Overall, I previously used a Redmi 9T, so the jump in quality is essentially a vast difference.

I have had it for a month, it is great, I switched from a used Samsung S23 Ultra. We will see what happens after half a year or a year of use, because now strange things are starting to happen with the software; when I do not restart it for a long time, it slows down and does not want to connect. It happens rarely, so I forgive it, but I will observe it closely. I am saying this because a long time ago I had a Xiaomi phone and after half a year of use it became a low-quality device.

I bought this phone for its large battery and I am a bit disappointed. According to Accubattery Pro, the actual capacity when charging from 1 to 100% is 7700-7800 mAh. It should be around 8330 mAh (rated capacity). The phone easily lasts two days, but if it actually had the capacity they claim, it would be even better. Previously, I had a Poco X6 5G, and there the actual capacity matched the rated one. Here, it is 7% short of the rated capacity and almost 10% short of the "advertised" one. It is as if I already had two years of battery degradation from the start. Poor. I wonder if every unit is like this or just mine. I should mention the charging. 100 W is a joke on the buyer. On average, with standard settings, it is just over 30 W. You can set the maximum speed, and then the power will be slightly higher, but the battery will quickly heat up and slow down. The Poco X6 had "only 65 W" charging. In practice, the charging speeds were only slightly lower than in the X8. If the phone actually charged at 100 W, a full charge would take 20 minutes – you can do the math. The camera is worse than in the X6. The X6 took decent photos against the sun. The X8 generates a lot of lens flares (this was mentioned in one of the reviews). Fortunately, I have an old Sony RX100 for photography. If this were my only camera, I would be extremely disappointed. Overall: a fast phone with a good battery, but not the eighth wonder of the world ;) After discounts, I paid just over 1600, and at this price, it is justifiable.

A few days ago, I bought the POCO X8 Pro Max. 8500 mAh battery, 6.83" 1280x2772, 12/512 GB, 100 W charging. It might not have a superb camera, but this 50 Mpix OmniVision Light Fusion 600 is completely sufficient for me. Slim design with a small island and a metal frame. Among the downsides is the weight - 218 g is slightly too much for me, but I can get used to it, as well as the unnecessary preinstalled applications that are best uninstalled immediately. The price? I paid 1800 zł in the official store with a coupon available to everyone. Regular price is 2300 zł. In my opinion, the value for money is great. I switched from a 3-year-old X5 Pro and the leap is enormous. This model will probably serve me for about 5 years, because I am the type of consumer who changes their phone when it wears out, not just when something new comes out, and I gave up the X5 Pro not because it wore out, as surprisingly it still works great and is supported, but because of the opportunity that the X8 Pro Max is. I have been using Xiaomi smartphones for 10 years and I am fully satisfied with them, although at the beginning I was very skeptical because it is a Chinese product and probably made of low quality plastic and would stop responding after 3 months. Surprisingly, none of those things happened. So yes - these are great smartphones at a good price and definitely worth recommending.

This is my first POCO and honestly there are several advantages: a vibrant screen, very fast operation, no lag in applications or the browser; even demanding games run very well at 120 FPS. But the biggest advantage is the very powerful processor, which translates into the performance of the smartphone, and the crème de la crème, which is the battery. It lasts very well; with normal use, 3 days are achievable without a problem, and while gaming or watching videos for a long time, it still lasts two days easily. For me, on a 10-point scale, this smartphone is a solid 8. The camera, although it is not exceptional, takes decent photos even at night or in macro mode, which is automatic in both cases.

As for the phone itself, it works great, everything is lightning fast without any lag, etc. Regarding the sound, there's also a subtle, noticeable bass, but with the volume set at 100%; above that, it’s a bit worse. This smartphone is perfect for demanding games, like a mini console :D I play Subnautica on maximum Ultra settings and 120 FPS and it's really impressive, I only noticed some slight heating on the back of the case. Photos are okay, though it's not a DSLR. Overall, I rate it very highly; for this money, there’s nothing better, and the smartphone blows many flagships like the Samsung S24 or even the S25 out of the water—the specs speak for themselves.

I have had and have been getting to know it for three days. I have charged it twice so far – my daily screen-on time is about 16 hours, so the result is impressive (the battery life result, because I am not exactly proud of the screen-on time :D). It does not freeze, it works smoothly. The camera could be better, but one cannot have everything. I switched from the POCO X7 Pro; I do not see significant differences in parameters other than smoothness and battery, but these specifications are the most important to me. I bought it on AliExpress for 1500 PLN (with discount codes), and the phone arrived together with the charging block.

I have owned the phone since its launch. I purchased the 12/512 version at a price of approximately 1800 zł after discounts. I switched from the X6 Pro. What can I say after a few days? With normal use, the phone lasted three and a half days on a 100% charge. This is a result I did not expect. The photos are slightly better than those from the X6 Pro; it is well known that they are not particularly impressive in the evening and at night, but in good lighting, it takes them decently. The performance is excellent, there are no slowdowns, and the screen is bright in the sun. I am delighted; I hope it lasts for the next 2 years.

The phone? A pleasant surprise, it works smoothly and lasts a long time on a single charge. What is bad is the camera. It is not a disaster outdoors, although 5-year-old lower-end Samsung models still significantly outperform it. The disaster for the camera starts indoors, in low light, and macro photography – it cannot handle these. This is what happens when one builds supposedly good equipment but skimps 25 cents on a better camera.

The screen is fine, the battery is great, the design is excellent, you can get used to the interface, but those cameras. Whether you take a lot of photos or just a few, the camera is just as bad. Photos are faded, lack sharpness, have strange reflections, and the macro or wide-angle shots are not even worth mentioning. It is a device for passionate gamers, but not necessarily for everyone else.
