I have owned the Realme 8 Pro for 1.5 years, purchased as a preorder, switching from a Galaxy S8. Starting with the advantages, the first thing I loved about this phone is the fast charging, a wonderful thing, and additionally a long lasting battery despite intensive use. Even after 1.5 years, when I expected a significant slowdown in performance and frequent stuttering, the phone is doing great. Stutters, delays etc. occur very rarely. The speakers are very decent. The phone fits well in the hand and is very resistant to drops (at least my unit); for this price, its performance is truly amazing. Unfortunately, the fingerprint scanner disappointed me greatly. I thought that this problem only occurred with my unit, but reading the reviews I see that something is simply wrong with it. It is really difficult to operate; I added one and the same fingerprint several times and only after a year of use did it start to work reasonably well. I think this is very problematic because when I bought this phone, my main concern was the speed of unlocking; unfortunately, I was heavily disappointed. Another disadvantage is the camera, in my opinion a very controversial matter; sometimes this phone will take a great photo, but you have to put in effort and have patience. Even though the Galaxy S8 was a bit older, it took much better photos. I have compared it many times to photos from an iPhone and unfortunately the Realme 8 Pro is very far behind the iPhone. Photos are very often blurry and various deformations occur. The wide angle camera is a disaster, but the 108mp camera is excellent. The front camera is great for me, everyone likes the selfie photos from it.
Despite the great performance and good battery, I would not buy it a second time precisely because of the average quality of the photos; I would prefer to pay extra for a good camera and a better fingerprint scanner that would not make daily life difficult. I cannot count how many times my transactions were rejected when paying with the phone because the scanner did not work :(

Listen do not be fooled by technical specifications speaking of a super camera or an innumerable number of GB these phones are low-quality products Oppo, Realme and the like, I have had it for two years all the time unreadable Chinese characters appear in the phone book when you have phone security using 6 digits when you start the phone you wait x seconds to enter the pin because first the phone unlock code appears and then it suddenly switches to the pin and you get confused about what you are finally supposed to enter many applications malfunction for example the Mi Band strap does not send notifications about sms for a long time the phone did not show data from the book only the phone number without the contact name, once again the problem with Google Chrome has returned you click on tabs and the phone shows you pages as a string of letters not showing tabs in the form of images I was tempted by the attractive price and extra features like the miniature effect in the lens but it is something that people are deceived by, I am a sales representative and I work a lot on the phone I tell you that for the second time I will not be fooled by these supposedly great features, this phone is of extremely poor quality that is all I will tell you

I have owned it for over 2 years,
8/128 version, blue dare to leep.
Specifically, the display is 10/10
Cameras: compared to the samsung galaxa54, a downside is the weaker detail in wide-angle mode,
RAM expandable to 12gb (I do not use it because 8 is enough)
108mpx photos (pixel binning, but the AI performs very well), the photos are 9/10, beautiful (a phone for 1200 PLN)
Video 4k 30fps, 10p at 60 FPS, recording in hepv 264 (it is a pity it is not in 265)
The battery is exceptional; it lasts 2-3 days (with light use), normally 2 days. To top it off, charging to 100% takes 36 minutes.
Personally, I would buy it again. Unfortunately, newer models differ in specification; they seem the same, yet they are weaker.
Snap dragon 690 performs very well, codMW runs without any issues (for example)
The only downside is that the casing is very delicate.
Look for the 8/128 version, it will serve you well.

After nearly 2 years of use, I can say that purchasing this phone was an excellent decision.
From the moment it was new until today, the phone has been running very smoothly, and the system is very lightweight and efficient.
It features a very good 108 MP camera that takes very high-quality photos and 4K videos. The camera lacks stabilization, but at this price point, no other model has it either. Regarding the fingerprint scanner, it is not the best, but if the fingerprint is registered correctly, it is usable. You can always unlock the device with a pattern or password if you experience issues with the fingerprint scanner. Overall, I highly recommend these Realme phones. They are very good products at a good price.

After three years, the front panel with the display is indeed peeling off. I glued it back in spots with Bison glue and I hope it will hold. The battery currently lasts about two days. In the beginning, it managed to last almost three days. Super fast charging with the charger included in the set. The photos are sufficient for my needs. Bought for about 1000 zł in 2021. The last update was a few months ago, so it is up to date. I hope it will still serve me well, because when I looked at phones for 1000 zł in the current offer, I did not find anything that significantly surpassed this phone.

After 2 years of use, I confirm the positive opinion. I posted the previous review in July 2021. I am still using this phone and I plan to use it for another year or maybe two. The only drawback is that there were moments when it rejected calls somewhat spontaneously (mainly from my wife :). However, it has been fine for a long time now. The fast charging is very useful and works well. The battery is, of course, about 20% weaker. In my opinion, the camera is of really good quality. The smartphone practically does not freeze. It works fast or very fast. I use it a lot (it is my best friend :).

Today, after 2 years of use, I checked the battery capacity of my Realme 8 Pro 8/128. Charging from 0-100%, the battery received 3540mAh, which means a loss of about 22% from the factory capacity of 4500mAh, which I consider a good result. For those who complain about the display turning off during video recording: go to "Settings" -> "Display & brightness" -> "Auto screen off" and there, before recording, set the screen off time to, for example, 30 min. (max), and after recording, set it to the number of minutes that suits you during normal phone use.

Sensational! The value for money is excellent. Updates every 2 months, including full system and user interface. Very good screen. Full charge in 20 minutes, can you charge cars with this???? 108 camera, even photos taken directly into the sun are very good. After the penultimate update, slight stutters appeared, but now with Android 13 and UI 4.0 it operates at high speed. It functions better than when it was purchased new. There is one drawback... the manufacturer will not make the same mistake and will not release such a phone at this price again.

Unfortunately, I do not recommend it. The phone was satisfactory at the beginning.

Unfortunately, many defects emerged over time. The camera blurs the background in a strange way. Gmail notifications do not arrive when 11GB of space is missing on the phone (while there is no information that the space is low). One must discover this independently.

After the update, flickering stripes began to appear on the screen.

I have not found the option to disable the "wallpaper magazine" on the lock screen.
