System and applications
The smartphone works under Android in the 6.0.1 version (ZTE promises an update to Nougat), but this is not a pure version. We are dealing with an aesthetical, functional and offering large personalization options add-on called Mifavor 4.0. What changes does it bring? For example changed system icons or the lock screen, and the settings menu, divided to two tabs: “Frequently used”, with a grid of 12 icons for the most popular options and “All settings” in the full, large list of system functions. There is an editable shortcuts bar, that slides out of the upper edge of the display and an editable navigation bar with the option to hide it – sometimes we can use the full display view. Another function characteristic for Mifavor is the Mi-Pop button, in my opinion not very useful, but if someone likes to have a handy, so-called floating button with a few useful shortcuts, it can be activated.

Let us not forget about large possibilities of adjusting the display to ones needs, gestures support, for example double tapping the display to wake it or running the torch by shaking the phone twice (it works from the level of the locked, but not dimmed display), gloves mode, the possibility to display pedometer on a locked display or the “Screen effect”, thanks to which we can influence parameters of the displayed image (saturation and colours temperature).

There is no apps menu, which may be a problem for some, but I must admit that the manufacturer did not overload the system with an abundance of preinstalled apps. Among them there are a few useful utility apps – for example a compass, noise level meter, ruler, protractor, spirit level – tools designed with the Utooo company, the creator of the Super Swiss Knife app. We have Files manager, HD Stereo Recording (that is a simple recorder), WeShare (transferring data from the old phone to the new one, transferring files to friends without using data transfer and creating and restoring the backup). There is AccuWeather and WPS Office as well.
Because of all this after turning the phone for the first time it turns out that from the 32GB of the internal memory we are left with around 14.5GB – over 13GB is taken by the system and almost 1.3GB – by preinstalled apps. We can of course enhance the memory by using microSD cards (by giving sacrificing one SIM card), but it is a pity that we cannot use it as an internal memory. We cannot move installed apps to the SD card as well.
