Samsung is no longer the only known manufacturer, providing an android smartphone in the form of a clamshell. Philips joined with its W8568. Just like Samsung's clamshells Philips' proposal looks quite chic.

Unfortunately, Philips W8568, just like Samsung's flip smartphones, is designed for the Chinese market. It's a shame, because it looks pretty interesting and it is decently equipped. The smartphone has a touch-sensitive IPS 4-inch displays and a resolution of 540x960 pixels. The driving force gives it a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and it is supported with a gigabyte of RAM. The phone has only 4 GB of build-in memory (but there is a microSD slot), supports only 3G networks, but it is equipped with a 2100 mAh battery. Philips is known for its high-performance batteries - in this case, we achieve up to 13 hours of talk time or 9 hours of surfing the web. There is also an 8-megapixel camera and a dual-SIM mode, and all is managed by Android 4.2. The smartphone has dimensions of 123.5 x63x18,8 mm and weighs 214 g. The price has not been given yet.
