Mobile World Congress is an opportunity not only to make new contacts and learn about new products. It is also a place where you can watch live phone models that will never reach the official sale in our country. Today I met Xiaomi MI3.
It is a brand perceived in China almost as good as Apple. Unfortunately, when I took MI3 in hand, I felt a little disappointed. Yes, the smartphone is very neat, comfortable to hold and has a fairly successful styling. Unfortunately, the casing - contrary to what I expected – is made of plastic. Overlapping the sides the smooth rear looks good, great mimics the aluminum, but it is "warm" to the touch , and the material feels cheap. Fortunately, the casing is solidly assembled, is a monolith - it is undecomposable, and we have access to the SIM card by sliding from the upper wall a special "tray".

Unfortunately, I ran out of time for a thorough review of the MIUI interface. But I made a few simple operations to verify smooth operation of the phone. MI3 turned out to be really good, the touch panel responds smoothly and according to my intentions. The clear, very sharp image on the display impresses. The specification of this model can be found on the card in our catalogue. Would you buy such a phone?
Connectivity during MWC 2014 was assured by T-Mobile
