The smartphone Samsung SM-G906S will belong to the family of Galaxy S5 - there is no doubt: it appeared yesterday in the list of GFXBench tests, but little was known about it beyond the information on QHD display. Today we know a little bit more.
A mysterious Samsung SM-G906S running Android 4.4.2 actually offers users the image displayed on the screen with a diagonal of 5.2 inches with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels.
Its heart will be 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 (Krait - ARMv7) processor with 2457MHz clock and Qualcomm Adreno 420 graphics with support for OpenGL ES 3.0. In the device there was installed 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash ROM, which from there is available around 25 GB.
The camera features a 16-megapixel matrix and takes pictures at a resolution of 5312x2988 pixels. With these parameters, it is evident that the video will be recorded in FHD resolution - 1920x1080 pixels. The specification shown on GFXBench page contains additional information about the flash and the possibility of recording video in HDR mode. The front camera will take a self-photo at 1600x1200 pixels or register a video in FHD.

Among the additional options there is found a set of sensors in the form of an accelerometer, barometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, light and proximity sensor. Standard communication interfaces WiFi, BT and USB completes the NFC service. Samsung SM-G906S has a GPS receiver and a step counter.
Too fast information about the device with the specification ahead of the premiere model Samsung Galaxy S5 is not a quite laudable PR move, but on the other hand, the wave of criticism that met the latest Samsung's flagship on the Internet justifies a quick action of the manufacturer. Let's hope that we'll soon see Samsung SM-G906S in the pictures and action, and not only in the results of the benchmarks.
