HTC One Max did not achieve a market success, but the chances are that its successor succeeds better. If the recent rumours about Max's successor confirm, we can expect a really strong phablet in a slim casing similar to M8.
According to unofficial information, the Max's successor will be a model that scrolls a long time in various leaks. We're talking about M8 Prime, referred to previously as a more powerful version of M8. Recent information indicates that Prime will have not only more efficient hardware configuration, but a bigger screen – so it will take place of One Max in the offer. Gossipers suggest that the next incarnation of Max loses a fingerprint reader, but it will gain a more powerful processor, a Snapdragon 805. New Max is also to have speakers prepared by Bose, which will replace the BoomSond and will allow to equip the screen in a slender, subtle bezel. We can only speculate for now on the screen itself. The size may reach 5.9 inches, but whether HTC decides on qHD resolution or remains at 1080p - is yet unknown. It's also hard to predict at this time the release date of M8 Prime aka M8 Max. The smartphone has reportedly already hit the FCC for testing, but I don't suspect that we may know it during the IFA. I bet rather late autumn...
